He looked like an Adonis. Something out of Greek mythology, something out of a fairytale.

But even in his sleep, he looked dangerous with the arched thick eyebrows pulled down as a frown appeared on his cracked pink lips.

Cat slowly cupped his jaw with her palm delicately. His skin was so rough, scars everywhere on his body, his face.

She watched as his eyebrows furrowed deeper, he started to shake lightly. Worried, Cat hovered over him, trying to wake him up.

Suddenly he sat up, gasping almost knocking Cat from her place on the edge of the bed. She smoothed her white lace dress before turning towards him.

"Are you okay?" She couldn't help but be worried as she put a hand on his shoulder comfortingly

"Are you okay?" She couldn't help but be worried as she put a hand on his shoulder comfortingly.

He was looking down, not giving Cat any indication except for his rough breathing.

His back muscles tensed as he sat up straighter before getting out of bed.

"You should probably see to the workers downstairs, they'll need you," He was trying to be nice but she saw that he was trying to avoid something as he held to the bridge of his nose and stomped of to the bathroom.

They had gotten back from Paris a week ago, everything had been perfect. But Alexei had some urgent work come up that had kept him locked in his study for the past three days.

Cat had to force him to take a quick nap before the gathering in which he was going to announce what was happening.

They had came back to the castle for the gathering and Cat was still amazed by the opulence and luxury of the palace.

But she had only come up to wake him up since many  people had start to arrive and she didn't know any of them.

Pulling herself together, she walked out of the room and down the stairs to the ballroom where the small gathering would be held. It was mostly for the Alphas, Betas and Luna's and their children.

Unsurprisingly many couldn't come in such short notice so many Alphas had either sent their Betas, kept their families home and came themselves or sent representatives altogether.
