"Allie, what a fucking cute name," Cat spoke between her giggles.

Everyone in the room watched Cat struggle to maintain calm.

"That's enough Catherine," Alexei said, his voice clear and loud.

Cat rolled her eyes as she straightened up. Confidently walking to her favorite chair, she grabbed the remote and got comfortable.

Laying sideways with her legs hanging and swinging off, she chose to ignore the sibling staring at her as she turned on the tv.

The werewolf news was on, the headlines gruesome. She sat up straighter as she realized the news was focused on the town that she'd grown up in.

Violent attacks were seen happening in this small town, 10 werewolves were found dead. Two humans were severely injured while one has been confirmed dead.

Instantly, panic took over her emotions. 10 werewolves? What if one of them was her little brother or her sister?

Her sister had been there for her, she could never repay her for the kindness she had implemented.

Before she ran to her bedroom and started calling uo her disrespectful parents who had probably blocked her, she realized the person who would know anything and everything was already here.

Her head turned towards Alexei so fast, she could've gotten a whiplash. Everyone, except for Esfir, was watching the news.

"What's this, Alexei? Do you know anything?" She asked frantically.

Cat had no doubt that Alexei already knew that this was the town where it all started.

Only the whole Valens family turned their heads towards her, his only brother leaned back and smirked.

They were like little pests.

Cat raised her eyes at his creep expression.

Slowly the boy leaned closer to Cat, "Don't be so afraid little human, werewolves don't bite," he spoke in a hushed tone.

Cat knew what he meant.

It was a old saying from a old werewolf fairy tale book, it was meant to taunt her.

To scare her, to make her feel like a lesser human being.
