All her fears came alive as she walked down the ancient hallways of the castle.

Only minutes ago, Alexei had left the castle with his army of soldiers and now it was up to her to protect the castle and everything and everyone in it.

Cat stormed through the doors of the officials room, trying to ignore all the men protesting.

She knew that they didn't se ever as an equal but for now that didn't matter. What mattered was that they had to help and protect the thousands of people that depended on her in the palace.

"Who the hell do you think you are coming here? Princess we have a war to fight and no time for your foolish actions or thoughts," one man dressed in snake leather, with a cigar in his mouth called out.

Cat took deep breaths before turning towards to address the incompetent men in the room.

"I am not your Princess. I am your Queen. And while you may not respect me, you must learn your place in the system. Do not forget that I can take you down with a few matters of orders," Cat said sternly, her voice growing graver.

She paced down the small length of the makeshift stage.

"While the King has gone to join the fight on the front, we or should I say, I am in charge of keeping the castle protected. No doubt they will attack here but we must show our strengths and resilience. Help me achieve what the purpose of this monarchy is, and that is to help and protect the citizens no matter the circumstances," Cat said, barely having to yell as the room had grown quieter and everybody was listening.

She didn't wait for anyone as she hopped off and walked towards the giant map of the castle.

She was glad to see that some of the people had followed her.

"I need all the blueprints of the castle, block off any possible entrance that the enemy could take, evacuate the refugees into the basement part near the servant quarters. It's the safest down there."

"Double the guards around, lock all doors and create a barrier. And most importantly I need constant updates on how the shield is holding up. If the shield goes down, then we are in grave danger ," she rattled off all the possible important orders she could think of.

Crossing her arms, she looked around at the men. Some seemed ashamed of their actions, some couldn't care less but she herself could careless.

Cat turned around to walk away but stopped when she remembered something.

In long confident steps, she walked towards the man dressed in the atrocious and inhuman snakeskin and sucker punched him right in the face.

"Your misogynistic ways won't get you far in life."

The refugees were in the basement safe. The maids and other workers with them.

The soldiers stood in uniform, ready for attack outside the castle, waiting on the commander.
