She hadn't seen him in over two weeks.

Alexei had disappeared after the whole incident, he had dropped her off and told her to pack up her belongings.

Confused but scared, Cat had packed up everything in their suite. All her belongings, anything she had brought over from her old apartment in New York.

His beta had driven her, for a long time, to a house. The house was more like a mansion, it was made out of cobblestone and was old.

There was a whole staff with butler over there who seemed to be non existent unless Cat ever needed them.

But the only positive aspect was that she was allowed to do whatever the hell she wanted. The only rule was that she returned back to the house.

And how did she know this?

Alexei had been communicating through his beta, Damien, who had visited the house a couple of times.

With no doubt in her mind, she knew that there was always someone watching her. Alexei didn't trust her that much.

The only hopeful and exited event in Cat's head was Christmas.

It was one of her favorite holidays aside for her birthday and she always went all out.

With her new freedom, she had already made several trips to the stores to buy all the Christmas decoration that she loved.

In the beginning she had gotten quite the odd looks from all the staff in house.

Apparently the last time any holiday was celebrated in this house was centuries ago.

Without accepting any help, she had put the Christmas tree up, gotten the lights up, the garland, the mistletoe etc.

And the last thing left to do was have a party.

Each year Cat held a annual Christmas party for all her friends and coworkers. It was always a hit, something people looked forward to.

And Cat was not one to ever pass an opportunity to host a party.

And this year would be none the less.

Cat had made the liberty to invite everyone she knew from New York and all the friends she had made in the small little town near the manor.

She didn't know how many of them would actually be able to come to Maine at such a short notice but she'd already gotten many rsvp's.

Damien had told Cat that Alexei was aware of the Christmas party and that he expected it to be low key.

His loss though because there was no way Cat would ever host a low key party.
