She clutched on to the sides of her seat as she braced for the airplane landing.

Cat always hated the landing and takeoff except for the breathtaking view as the plane lifted off.

With a heavy heart, she pressed sent on the email asking for resignation despite promising her boss that she would continue to work.

Cat quickly shut off the laptop, not wanting to deal with any of the horrible flight attendant.

Despite having to resign, Cat wasn't unemployed, just self employed as she still had her blog which had grown quite popular and was a good source of income, if she spent it wisely that is.

Only downside was that she would have to watch her spending, not have two good incomes backing up her designer shopping anymore.

Soon enough the plane had landed and being on the Romanov private plane, she quickly left.

New York was her home, she loved every good and bad part of New York. In an hour or so, she was on her way to the Plaza hotel.

She couldn't stop the smile on her face from getting wider and wider as she watched her city from the cab.

Though Cat couldn't deny, she did miss Alexei. After the news had spread that Cat was dating the head of the infamous Romanov power clan, most of her invites had changed to Catherine and Alexei Romanov.

Even then Alexei could not come, being busy with preparations and trying to create alliances.

Cat had tried to help her best but this would be one of her last solo trip for awhile as the war would make everything complicated and harder.

Her chauffeur opened the door after they pulled in front of the Plaza, the valet took the car away after the suitcases were taken out.

Cat kept her head up as she walked to the front desk.

"Good Morning Mrs. Romanov, hope you had a great flight. This is the key card to your suite. If you have any questions, don't hesitate to call and ask," the receptionist said, ignoring the customer ahead of Cat.

The receptionist gave her a creepy smile, looking to please the important Romanov guest.

Slowly Cat grabbed the key card and took the elevator to her suite. The suite was humongous, bigger than needed.

It was the beautiful view of the sprawling city that took her breath away. She instantly picked up her phone, took a picture and sent it to Alexei.
