"Luck is on our side now, partner. I think we've finally found the breakthrough we've been looking for."

The words rang through my ears and my head, the words I've craved for weeks. The words telling me that we've taken a leap towards finding out what happened, finding out how we can save the men.

Is this that moment?

"Breakthrough?" I asked. "Ashton, enlighten me."

"Well," he sighed, rubbing his eyes. "I found a document. To be specific, a document about- what was her name? Leah? Therese?"

I sighed. "Bea. Her name was Beatrice, but Mia said she preferred Bea."

"Oh, alright. Anyways, a document on Bea's death. The police report. Contains where she was found, autopsy results, suspects-"

"How does this matter?" I groaned, meaning no disrespect.

"Well, it doesn't contain the results after the Autopsy results. The results state that she was killed; murder, obviously. But then there should have been an investigation, and this should state the current position in the case or the result. Funny thing is, it wasn't completed."

"How?" I asked, dumbstruck. "The government always made sure justice was served."

"I think that someone, an important figure or someone with a lot of money, bailed the case and prevented an investigation. I also did some research on Bea and her family- using perfectly legal methods available to the both of us, mind you- and discovered that her parents are.... dead. Her mother died of cancer when she and Louis were very young-"

"So Louis IS her brother?" I interrupted.

"Yes!" Ashton groaned. "Anyways, she died when they were young. Their father lived for only about 5 years more. He had depression, but died of a heart attack. So, as I was saying, this person could have easily prevented the investigation with no one to stop it. He also could have literally wiped Louis off the face of the Earth, deleting everything. Luckily, this document was saved, somehow."

I gasped, as realization hit me. "The second identity."

"Exactly," Ashton agreed. "The MS13 gang is listed as a suspicious group, saying the suspect is probably in that gang."

"So that could have been why Zayn switched," I said, excitement growing. "To avoid being caught."

"Most likely," Ashton said. "Another reason Louis went after Zayn with the men. His sister, and the investigation was never completed, so maybe he wanted to 'complete' it himself."

I sat down, the flow of information overwhelming. This IS the breakthrough I've been praying for.

"Now," Ashton sighed. "We need to figure out our next move."

"Calm down, Tiger." I said. "I'm still comprehending all the shit you just told me."

Ashton laughed and turned to pick up his things. He stuffed the papers into his bag and saved his documents. I rubbed my temples, thinking about all of the things that could have happened. I mean, it's perfectly understandable. The human thirst for revenge on the one who stole someone from you. The hunger to make them feel the pain that you and your loved one endured, but 10 times worse.

I'm beginning to understand.
