"Ugh!" I groaned, laying my head on the desk as I failed, yet again, in trying to find that damn warehouse. Why does it have to be a creepy warehouse? Why not... Wal-mart or something?
Probably because someone is already working on a case in some other Wal-Mart in America.
There are so many places that these men could have been taken to. If Zayn was in fact the one who took the men, why would he go back to the place he was caught?
Because only those men know where it is.
This case is so confusing. But I'll be able to handle it; I once found the whereabouts of the most secretive, dangerous, and nomadic gang in New York City. If I can handle that, I can handle some stupid little warehouse.
Right?
"Knock Knock," Ashton said, opening my office door. " Good Morning."
I rubbed my temples. "It's really not a good morning."
"How so?"
I sighed, leaning back in my chair. "Well, I have failed countless times since I got home last night to find this stupid warehouse, and I have gotten nowhere. The thing that gets me is that Niall, Liam, and Louis didn't even TELL ANYONE WHERE THE DANG WAREHOUSE WAS!"
"Calm down, Carmen," Ashton said, sitting down. "Maybe whoever is related to Louis knows."
"And how close are we to finding that out?" I snapped. "They'll probably all be dead by then, and we'll have to go tell Nina and May that the loves of their lives are dead! I CAN'T LET THAT HAPPEN, ASHTON!"
"I know, I know. We'll figure it out. But we can't learn or understand anything sitting in this cramped office all day. We still need to find that gang and talk to the desk lady at Nina's building. I've got us guns," He said, pointing to his bag. "I thought you'd be more excited when I mentioned weapons."
"Normally, yes. But now, no." I sighed. "Let's go to the building first."

"Alright," I sighed as Ashton parked his car outside the building where Nina's apartment was. "Hopefully we'll get some good information today."
"I hope to God that we do," Ashton said, getting out of his car and leading the way to the building.
"I wonder if the gang will be excited to see me again," I scoffed as the automatic doors opened.
"Oh, I'll bet they'll have a gigantic 'Welcome Back to Our Dangerous Residance' dinner party, just for you." Ashton chuckled.
I wiped the humorous smile off my face and tried to look serious as I approached the desk. The other lady wasn't there.
"Excuse me, but what woman was working here yesterday evening, at this desk?" I asked.
"Her name was Ellie Jones," He said. "Great woman, isn't she?" He seemed distant, as if something happened.
"Where is she? We'd like to speak with her." Ashton said, hand on his pocket, ready to whip out his badge.
"She's... uh, sick today."
I swallowed, stepped forward, and looked him dead in the eye. "We need to know where she is," I said slowly, teeth gritted. "I suggest you tell us."
He swallowed. "We reported it to the police but they haven't done anything and-"
"And what?" I said, still looking him in the eye.
"She went missing last night," He said. "Taken during work. And before you ask, the security cameras malfunctioned just before and came back on just after it happened," He said, shaking. "We don't know where she is."

"I can't believe this." I said for the thousandth time, sitting in my chair in my office. "We were close to what I feel was important information. I mean, she could have cracked the case open for us! But when we are so close, POOF! She's gone!"
"Yes, Carmen, I heard you the first 999 times," Ashton groaned, leaning his head on his seat. "Ellie has disappeared. Now why don't we do something about it?"
I nodded, sitting up. "Well, who could have done it?"
"Personally, I don't think it could have been a coincidence," Ashton said. "Maybe she was going to reveal something huge about The Periculum."
"And then maybe the gang found out," I said. "And needed to... 'eliminate' her."
"Maybe," Ashton said. "I think the gang did it, but I also think we need to pay Nina another visit."
"We'll do that soon," I said. "But for the rest of this morning, we should find the whereabouts of The Periculum Gang, so we can go and look for the men, or at least see if Zayn is even in that gang. He is in one for sure."
Ashton nodded. "We need to find the Periculum Headquarters."
"Let's get to it," I said. "You find whatever you can find online, or find numbers. For now, I'm going to call Harry and call the Police Department and see if they have information."
"Alright," Ashton said, pulling out his laptop and typing in some keys.

"Hello, Police Department?" A deep voice that sounded like it was from the Bronx asked on the other side of the call.
"Hey, it's Agent Carmen James, from Headquarters downtown." I said, using my usual greeting.
"Huh?" The voice questioned, the Bronx accent extremely heavy.
"I work for Styles." I snapped. That got him to shut up for a minute, and he tried to seem more sophisticated.
"How may I help you.....?"
"James. I told you this." I said, tapping my fingers on my desk, annoyed.
"My apologies. How can I help?"
"I need to know the last place The Periculum Gang was seen and known to have been." I said.
"Well, I'll have to go check, ma'am. Just a minute." He said.
I waited for almost five minutes; I counted.
"The Periculum was last seen in an abandoned building on 10th," the officer said. "But that was last week, and they are really nomadic and dangerous, ma'am, so-"
"I understand, I've dealt with them before. Thank you." I snapped, hanging up the phone. I hate when men tell me I can't do a job or 'honey, it's too dangerous for you,' just because I am a woman. Annoys me a lot.
"Ashton, write this down." I said, turning to Ashton who was on his laptop. He grabbed a notepad and my pen. "The Periculum: last seen in abandoned building last week."
He nodded and went back to his research.
"I'm going to call Styles," I said, half to myself and half to Ashton. "Hopefully our stuck-up boss will cooperate."
