"I want to see your pack."

Lucian didn't bother to look up from his paper, but he did freeze in mid-sip of orange juice. Bella stood in the doorway of the kitchen with her arms crossed. It had been a few days since they really talked. After he found her in his room, he told her she no longer had to stay there. He had her stuff moved to the room across the hall from him and Bella graciously excepted the change in living accommodations.

She doesn't know if her words got through to him or he also couldn't take Bella in the same room where she bore herself to him. Either way, she got a new beautiful room all to herself. She no longer had to fall asleep on his couch and her back was thanking her.

The walls in her room were gold and white. It also had marble floors similar to Lucian's room and Bella wondered who had designed the place. It was beautiful, but you would never expect it to be so elegant from the outside. Purple, gold, and white seemed to be the common theme and it looked absolutely beautiful. This room also had columns surrounding the bed and a beautiful chandler. Unlike Lucian's, this room had a vanity set and was decorated with pretty white flowers placed tastefully through the room.

It was definitely a woman's room. Bella couldn't help but wonder if it was designed before or after she got there.

Now that Bella had been getting more sleep and she didn't have to deal with her mate all that much, she was in a better mindset to demand things.

"No." Well so much for demanding.

"You say you wish to mark me," This caught his attention. Lucian placed the paper down and watched her with his harsh beautiful eyes, "How can I promise myself to you and this pack if I've never seen it?"

"You can see it once you've been marked."

"I won't let you mark me until I've seen it." The two glared at each other. There was no room for compromise in this and the only thing left for them to do was butt heads.

"No."

"Then I guess I'll never be yours." Bella huffed and dramatically turned around to stalk out of the room, but a low growl stopped her.

"I can't have you around unmated wolves." Ah, so that was his main concern. Bella could understand it if she put herself into his ludicrous mindset.

"No male here has a death wish so bad that he would do anything to me knowing I am your mate."

"They will know you are mine if you are marked." His voice slowly started to rise.

"They will know when they see you standing over me and glaring at everyone that breaths." The few times the male guards have been in the house, Lucian has made sure to stand right by Bella so they knew she was unapproachable.

She had a point, and Lucian hated to admit it. He also hated that he was able to see that she was right, he should be right. He should always be right.

"It's supposed to be my pack too, right?" Bella whispered. Something about her calling it her pack made his heart flutter. Bella watched as he stared at her with an open expression. It seemed like hope was dancing in his dark eyes but he quickly shook himself out of it.

"We'll head out after lunch." He gruffly replied. He scooped up his newspaper and dropped off his half-full glass of orange juice in the sink before leaving Bella alone.

He seems to do that an awful lot.

Bella prepared herself some delicious cereal for lunch that day. She would have stood around and made herself a more appropriate meal, also known as a sandwich since she can't cook for shit, but her hands were too shaky. She was nervous about meeting the pack. Yes, that was what she wanted, she had pushed Lucian into allowing this, but she was still just a young wolf. She was afraid they wouldn't approve. Should she try and appear heartless like their Alpha? No, she should be herself, regardless if they'll like her or not. It wasn't even in her plans to be their Luna so what should she care if they liked her.
