Bella's eyes fluttered open slowly. She gazed up at the white ceiling and slowly felt the stiffness in the muscles of her back. Her mind was still groggy as she looked around and found she was still in the living room. She was only confused for a moment before she replayed her conversation with Lucian in her head... It was nice.
She sat up, her light hair falling all around her. Running a hand through it, she looked around for her missing mate. She literally fell asleep on him, didn't she? She sniffed the air but his scent was barely lingering in the house. He wasn't there.
Her stomach growled again and she checked the clock. 8:30 at night. Looks like dinner and bed for her. She was still so tired. She meandered her way into the kitchen and over towards the fridge. Rummaging around for a bit, Bella found some leftover steak from the other night. When she closed the fridge back up, she noticed a piece of paper stuck to it. That was odd, Lucian never had anything on his fridge.
Dear Bella,
I had to leave for some pack business. I made sure there was enough steak for you to eat for dinner. I won't be home until late. I was hoping we could continue talking tomorrow.
Love, Lucian
Bella smiled down at the note and tucked it into the waistband of her shorts. Now that she thought about it, she should really take a shower and change. She's been in these clothes since yesterday. After heating up her dinner, she wolfed down her food and took a nice relaxing shower, singing her heart out knowing Lucian wasn't around to hear.
Once she got back into her room she dug around for another shirt to put on. Once she was dressed in comfortable sleeping clothes, she assessed her room. It was still pretty empty and her bags were still mostly full. Maybe it was time to unpack a little.

Bella didn't remember falling asleep last night, but when she woke up she was still surrounded by the remnants of her clothes. She was sprawled out on top of her covers while clutching a pink long sleeve shirt in her hands. Without her consent, her mind flashed to a much better cuddle buddy than her shirt.
Shaking her head, she checked the time and realized she told Cass she'd be over at her house soon. She pulled on a red top and some shorts before quickly making her way to the kitchen to grab something and go.
Upon entering the kitchen, her plans changed. There sat her sharply dressed handsome mate. It appears as if he was waiting for her since as soon as he saw, her he stood up.
"Bella, I was hoping we could talk some more." He said with open arms and a strained smile. Bella's lips tugged upwards realizing he was trying to be more expressive with her, but then she remembered she had somewhere to be.
"I can't right now. I told Cass I'd meet her for lunch." Wait. Why was Bella in the kitchen then if she's going out for food? Stupid hungry stomach thinking for her instead of her brain. Seeing the disappointed look on Lucian's face melted her heart. He was being so open with her now. "But when I get back I'd love to talk." Sure, she doesn't love him, but it was nice just talking to him yesterday.
She hesitated in the doorway until Lucian gave her a small smile and nod.

Bella's eyes lit up with glee as Cassandra pulled up to a Red Robin. After Bella had walked over to Cassandra's house, the blonde drove them without saying a word. The whole ride was an awkward silence. Bella kept glancing over at Cass, but the girl was blankly staring ahead at the road. Maybe not the best condition to drive in. Looking back at the restaurant Bella smiled.
