Chapter 6

"I can't go to the concert" Jacky said the next afternoon. We were both sitting on the couch, working on our college work.
"Yes you can. Im not going to let you spend an awful saturday night with Mark. Just tell him you're sick or something. Here give me your phone I'll call him" I said, grabbing Jacky's phone from her hand.
She shook her head repeatedly as I hit the Call button. She closed her laptop and stared at me with wide eyes.
"What?" Mark responded,rudely.
"Oh hello to you too Mark." I said in my sarcastically sweet voice.
"What do you want Karen? Why are you calling me through Jacky's phone? Where is she anyways? Is she eating again? I told her to go on a diet already." He replied
I clenched my fist. I hated it when Mark made fun of Jacky because of her weight. A lot of girls are overweight and self conscious. They believe they're not beautiful but in reality they're just as beautiful as any other girl.
"Listen Mark. I just wanted to let you know that your girlfriend is really sick and she won't be making it to your little stupid date."
"Okay." He said,taking it easily.
"Um..okay? Um bye?" I replied,hanging up.
"What did he say?" Jacky asked.
"He was okay with it which makes me confused." I responded.
"Wow" she said.
"Well whatever. We are going to meet Why Don't We and We are going to have a great time." I said,grinning.
"We should start getting ready. Its already 2:30" Jacky suggested.
I nodded and off we went to our seperate rooms.

2 and 1/2 hours later-
We were finally on our way to the venue.
"Thank You" We both said as we got out of the Uber.
The concert started at 7 but people were already lined up.
Jacky and I were both wearing our Why Don't We tshirts with denim skinny ripped jeans and converse.
"I'm so nervous and excited." Jacky said as we went to the back of the line.
"It wouldve been cool to get Limelight VIP tickets. We could've hanged out with them before the show but at least we still get to meet them and take a picture with them" I said.
Jacky nodded and looked at the time in her phone. It was going to be a long wait.

[Time Skip; Meet & Greet Time]
I anxiously bited my nails as we waited in line to meet the boys. The show had ended an hour ago and me and Jacky were still standing in line to meet them. There were only a couple of girls left.
"Karen stop you're making me nervous" Jacky complained.
"I'm Sorry. We're almost next"I said as I watched the line move forward. I could see Jonah and Zach from where we were standing.
"That's weird. Mark hasn't texted me the whole day"
"He's probably being lazy or something." I said,brushing it off.
"No he usually messages me at least once an hour but today he hasn't messaged me even once"
"Ah just let it go. Look Just two more girls left and we're next"
"This is weird my location is on. I swear to god i have never turned that thing on"
"Maybe you just turned it on accident." I said,shrugging. Jacky frowned and turned it off again.
Time passed by quicker and soon enough they said we were next.
Jacky went first. She hugged Zach.
Then she moved on to Jonah.
"Hello whats your name?" Zach asked.
"I'm K-karen Im a H-huge fan" I said stuttering. I was really shy when it came to meeting new people. These were not new people because I heard their music every single day but I was still nervous.
" Aw, Is someone shy?" Jonah teased as I hugged him next. He smelled really good. I only nodded as my cheeks turned red.
"That's so cute" he said.
I hugged Daniel next.
"I like your cool green hair" he said as he pointed to my hair that was dyed green at the tips.
"That's some dope hair" I heard someone say. I looked up and saw Jack smiling at me. Before I could open my arms to hug him, I heard security yelling "Get that man out of here!" I turned around and saw Mark running toward us with two large cups in his hand.
"You Stupid Fucking Liars. Do you think Im an Idiot?" he said,throwing the liquid inside the cup at Jacky. I heard Jacky gasped.
"There's some hot tea honey so you can feel a whole lot better And you Karen I told you not to mess with me. " he threw the contents of the other cup at me. The hot water hit me. I closed my eyes. My body was burning. This wasn't suppose to happen. Mark wasn't suppose to know about this. He was suppose to be thinking that Jacky was sick. When i opened my eyes, I saw Mark being dragged out of the room by security guards.
"What the hell just happened" I heard Jack whisper behind me.
I turned to Jacky and she started running roward the exit.
"Jacky wait" I said.
I turned to the Why Don't We Boys. My face was red and I was soaking wet. They were all staring at me in shock. Jack and Corbyn got hit with the hot water too since they were behind us but they were not as drenched as Jacky and I.
"I'm so Sorry." I said, before running after Jacky.
