Chapter 31

The girl, Vivian, noticed me.
"Oh there's a fan waiting "
Jack quickly let go of her and turned around. When he saw it was me, he smiled.
"Oh Karen sorry you had to wait. Vivian this is my girlfriend,Karen. Karen this is Vivian,my ex and also my childhood best friend"
"Um girlfriend? " Vivian asked.
"Yes" I replied,confidently.
"Ooo are those cupcakes for me?"Jack asked, interrupting the awkwardness.
"Babe?"
I turned around and saw the worker from the cupcake store walking toward us. I raised my eyebrown.
Was he following me out here too?
Vivian removed her arms from Jack and ran toward him.
"Surprise babe. I came to pick you up from work" she said, wrapping her arms around him. They started making out ..in front of us.
"We should leave them..alone" Jack whispered in my ear, wrapping an arm around my waist and pulling me away.
"Well...that was awkward" I said as we began walking away.
"Yea.." he said, spacing off.
"You okay Jack?"
"Yea im fine" he replied ,removing his hands from my waist.
"You sure?"
"Yea..just seeing her brought a lot of memories.."
I bit my lip. I didnt know what to say.
"Oh shit Im so sorry" he said, grabbing my shoulder and pulling me into a hug.
"Why are you sorry?"
"Im sorry  seeing her made me forget about everything. Im sorry i ruined our date. "
My heart melted he was too cute.
"You didn-"
"Jack! Wait up" i heard Vivian say. I secretly rolled my eyes. I wasnt trying to be rude but it was my first date with Jack and i wanted us to be alone. Was she even going  to let us be alone?
Jack let go of me and gave me a sympathetic look.
"I forgot to give you my new number so you can text me and we can hang out again just like old times."
Jack nodded and while they exchanged their numbers, Vivian's boyfriend walked up to me.
"We meet again Karen"
I rolled my eyes. Not again.
"You're a pretty girl."
"Dude your girlfriend is right there."
"Your boyfriend is over there too so what?"
"So keep your eyes on your girlfriend only."
"If God wanted me to not see other girls he wouldve just created mine."
I moved away from him and sat on a bench nearby.
"My name is Axel by the way"
"I didnt ask"
"There was no need to ask. Want to exchange numbers too?"
I looked back at Jack. He was laughing at something Vivian said. He looked really happy to have her back. I really just wanted for both of us to go home and to cuddle and fall asleep in each other's arms with no Axel or Vivian to interrupt us. I looked at the time. It was already late and I had to get up early tomorrow. I stood up. Jack didnt seem to notice that I had moved from near him. I sighed. I'll just text him when I get home. I began walking away. Once I got to the main street, I got in my uber and went back home.

Im really sorry I havent updated in a while! I've been super busy with work and school starts next week so everything is going crazy. Anyways i hope you enjoy this short chapter. I hate Vivian already 😂.
Please dont hate on Karen (a.k.a me) for being dramatic and sensitive because thats really how i would react in real life too. Haha anyways have a great day.
