Seven months passed and Amelia pregnant belly grew. A certain kind of piece took place in the family, as everyone was highly exited to welcome the new family member. But the lingering threat of Lucifer, who didn't show his face so far, darkened the mood. The Mikaelson's tried to life as normal as they could, while finding a way do kill the devil.
Freya and Amelia worked on spells and browsed through grimoires daily, but without any success. Klaus and Elijah tried to keep an eye on Lucifer, which wasn't easy either, as he was being deep under the radar, barely doing things that could be noticed. Maybe he was just waiting until the baby was born.
Amelia and Elijah grew closer with every day. They got to know each other better and lived as a happily married couple expecting their firstborn. Elijah tried as hard as he could to comfort his wife during her pregnancy.
Right now, he gently massaged her tensed shoulders. The heretic closed her eyes and enjoyed his touch, feeling her muscles relax. As her belly grew, the more her body felt somehow uncomfortable. Not that she would tell Elijah.
"This would be so much better if were naked and if I wouldn't carry a massive belly in front of me."
Amelia groaned when Elijah hit a sensitive spot on her lower back. He chuckled, placing light kisses on her neck. The Original had taken his tie and jacket off, his shirt sleeves slightly rolled up. It felt so natural with her, so he could put his tight up role away for some time.
"A tempting thought..."
He closed his eyes and his little kisses grew more passionate, his teeth scraped against her soft skin. Elijah felt Amelia's breath quicken and took it as allowance to go a bit further. His hands wandered to her front, cupping her breasts which perfectly filled his large hands.
Amelia gave in and just enjoyed the feeling of lust flowing through her body. But a thought ripped her out of the moment. She slapped his hands away and turned to face her husband.
"Honestly, I want to be attractive for you and that doesn't work if I look like a rolling meat loaf."
Her lips pressed onto his shortly. His hand stroked her cheek, while the other was placed on her belly, smiling when he felt the baby's movement.
"You never have been more attractive, Amelia. You look like a goddess, you know that."
As the baby kicked she flinched as pain flooded her and Elijah's gaze grew worried.
"Are you alright?"
She sighed and looked away, avoiding his eyes as she knew that he could tell when she lied.
"I'm just exhausted. And frustrated as we still haven't come any closer to Lucifer's destruction."
"We'll find a way, Amelia. Don't worry, I'm sure of it."
Elijah placed a kiss on her forehead and helped her to stand up as she struggled to get on her feet. He grabbed her by her waist and set her on the floor.
"Right, so we shouldn't waste any time. I'll be at Freya's."
She gave him a light smile before she disappeared out of their bedroom. The Original stared as his wife went on her way. He knew that something was wrong with her, he just wasn't sure what and he was even more sure that she wouldn't tell him.
...
"How do you feel, Amelia?"
Freya smiled as she hugged her sister-in-law and patted her belly. Amelia rolled her eyes.
"Awesome!"
She said sarcastically. Freya, Rebekah and her had talked a lot about her pregnancy. Sometimes even Hayley joined them and shared some details of being pregnant with Hope. Amelia and the hybrid would never be friends, but a kind of peace had settled between them.
Freya was the only one that knew that she wasn't really doing well. The heretic needed much more blood and felt weak very often. But being a vampire and pregnant with the devil's baby wasn't in any books, so they had to figure out themselves.
The witch gave Amelia sympathetic look, but both grew serious again.
"Have you found out anything new?"
Freya just sighed and shook her head. Amelia turned to walk up and down the room. Books, grimoires and other magical stuff was scattered on the floor. She looked to the pile of dark objects thoughtfully.
"There has to be a away...at least to lock him back in hell. Could Davina get something out of the ancestors?"
The younger witch had joined their little squad after the Hallow had pulled her out of the ancestral world. That was another story to be told. Lucifer seemed to have fulfilled her wish and sucked the power of the ancient spirit off. Which wasn't really good either, as his amount of power would be unbelievingly high now.
Suddenly Amelia froze in spot and frowned. Then her eyes widened and she turned to Freya, who looked at her confused.
"That's it!"
She stepped closer to the witch and grabbed her by the shoulders.
"Davina...the ancestors...Elijah and I slit four girl's throats to reconnect the ancestors to our world."
Freya tilted her head, not getting where Amelia pointed at.
"Yes, I remember. Not one of your kindest moments."
The heretic shook her head eagerly. She had to be careful not to break Freya's shoulder. Sometimes, after she felt weak, suddenly power streamed through her which she couldn't really handle.
"We have to perform a harvest on our own, to reconnect hell to our world so we can send Lucifer back."
Freya's eyes widened in realization. What she said made sense.
"But who should we sacrifice?"
Amelia looked away, she knew exactly who that would be. Freya tilted her head, trying to get her attention back, urging her to speak.
"There were four people that helped Lucifer get back on earth. A witch, a werewolf, a vampire and...a heretic."
Her eyes were filled with sorrow as she knew how everyone would react to this. Freya stepped back and looked at her sister-in-law in shock.
"No, that's not an option. Amelia, we can't kill you!"
"Freya, listen to me, I'll do whatever it takes to save my family and my child. And it's still a harvest, so I'll be back."
She gently stroked her belly to relieve the stress a bit, as she now felt terribly sick.
"Do really think Elijah will allow to get your heart ripped out? What if this goes wrong, it's just suspicion that it'll work!"
Amelia coughed and bent over a bit as the pain came back, Freya didn't seem to notice.
"It's not his choice to make, neither it's yours. Will you help me, or not?"
As she finished speaking, she coughed again, only now her hand was covered in blood when she pulled it back from her mouth. Both Freya and her looked at the red sticky liquid in shock.
"Has that happened before?"
Amelia shook her head. Her legs grew wobbly and she fell on her knees as the coughs shook her body. Blood now covered the floor in front of her. It felt like she was drained of all her power, she felt her magic being ripped from every cell.
It was the baby. The baby siphoned her power off.
"Elijah!"
Freya yelled as she held Amelia upright, lightly shaking her to keep her awake. Her brother stormed in shortly after, stopping as he saw the mess and his deathly pale wife on the floor. He pushed Freya away as he cradled Amelia into his arms.
"We need to get the baby..."
The witch whispered. She had felt what Amelia was enduring when she touched her. The baby was taking all of her energy, the mother would die if they wouldn't get it out quickly.
