The silence that erupted for the rest of the evening was eerie. That lingering feeling of imminent death took them all with a cold grip. They all stood close together, secretly making their goodbyes.

"Hayley?"

Amelia motioned for the werewolf to follow her when the heretic saw that her husband currently wasn't in the room.

"What is it?"

Hayley frowned but followed her. Amelia sighed and shortly glanced if someone was nearby.

"Hayley, I don't know if I'll survive this night. I don't know if any of us will live through it..."

The hybrid shook her head and looked way, refusing to listen to her words.

"Amelia..."

Quickly Amelia grabbed Hayley's hands and forced her to listen.

"No. Please listen. Lily will maybe loose both of her parents tonight, because unfortunately Elijah won't leave me tonight. I want you to drive out of the city with Hope and Lily. If you don't hear anything from us after 1 am, go, and never look back. You need to protect our daughters. I beg you."

She looked Hayley in the eyes pleading. Of course Amelia didn't want to die and raise her daughter by herself together with Elijah, but if something happened to them tonight...Lily needed someone to protect her. Her baby was just so little.

After long seconds Hayley sighed and nodded, not able to look into Amelia's eyes. She felt sorry for the heretic, she knew how Amelia felt right now. The fear that she wouldn't see her girl growing up. The women still couldn't really stand each other, but both of them knew that they would do everything for their children.

"Thank you."

Amelia squeezed Hayley's hand and walked out of the room, holding back the tears. When she lifted her gaze she looked right into Elijah's eyes and again it was like he could see right through her. When he saw Hayley following after his wife, he understood instantly, but nodded. He didn't want to accept the possibility of their death, but they had a daughter's future to determine now. Elijah kissed Amelia's cheek when she reached him.

They didn't need to say anything, their eyes told the whole story. It was their kind of a little goodbye, as they heart Bonnie Bennett's heartbeat from outside. There wasn't much time left. But time was the only wish they had at this moment. More time together, with their little girl. Words weren't enough for their love. The short time they had together wasn't enough.

Hope was the last thing they could cling to.

"Let's not waste any more time."

Bonnie spoke up when she entered the compound. She looked determined, but fear was slowly breaking through her features.

"Thank you for coming."

Amelia greeted the witch and discussed the procedure with her and Freya.

"Klaus and Rebekah will get the two other seal breakers now. Then Freya and Vincent will start to perform the ritual which will kill us four. We should be revived shortly after. Then I'll take both the werewolf's and the vampires power before I give something of that to you. Right at midnight we'll open a gate to hell and when Lucifer arrives in here he'll be stabbed with a blade laced in Elijah's and my daughter's blood. Hopefully we'll get rid of this bastard if everything works out."

They all nodded and waited until Klaus Rebekah come up with their prisoners. Both the wolf and the vampire were screaming and fighting. Amelia didn't know the wolf personally, but she had already met the vampire, Nora, before. Her eyes landed on the heretic and they widened in shock because Amelia stood there on her free will.
