In The Wrong Body
By: Silverfeather

The voices soaking into her mind as she walked down the school halls only for her the school halls were battle ground and she was a bound wounded soldier having to endure all their cruel blows.

She takes in deep breaths as everyone starts to circle her and she only hears one thing the....sound of all the overlapping voices-as they all set in like vultures going into feed,
One relentless hit after the other,
Hearing their words on repeat like a broken record, "Ugly." "Kill yourself." "The world would be better off without you."
Each cutting deeper than the last.

The blades to her wrist smiling trying to draw her in,
Trying to bring her to the. End.
Looking deep into the lying mirror frowning at what she saw
A girl....
Long hair flowing past the shoulders,
Bulging chest,
Long feminine eyelashes,
Tears entering her eyes as it all set in,
Feeling like her head was going to explode as tear after tear rushed down her pale face.

A voice repeating in her head.... You're all wrong. You're bodies all wrong.
Nodding in agreement she threw her blade away wiping her tear stained eyes.

Scribbling big red words onto the lying mirror she stepped back and smiled,
Whispering, "I'm a boy, my genders boy not girl, my pronouns are he not she."

Looking at the words feeling his smile widen at the words as he relentless repeated them in his head,
I'm a boy!

Back where it all started he walked those battle ground halls once again holding his head high as he ignored their words.
Going in one ear, exiting the other,
Taking in a deep breath he, Stopped! In the middle of the halls letting it all spill out.

"I'm a boy! It's not my fault I was born.... in the wrong body."
