To all the boys who like or have liked a girl let me ask you something
Why!?
Why do you just treat girls like their not worth more, than something for sex?
Studies show that 1 in 4 females are sexually abused, assaulted, or raped,
That's a lot of people considering a little more than half of the world population are female!
You may say I don't know what I'm talking about I'm just another boy.
But I had a girlfriend who was sexually abused at the young age of 7. Age 7!
At age 7 she was voliated, raped, forcfully touched for the sake of a man's pleasure!
When her mom wasn't around.
How can any boy think that isn't disgusting and wrong?
Let me tell you something....
Girls aren't just objects!
Their human beings as well they can bleed, cry, feel pain, die just like any boy,
So why do we treat them like objects?
She was 15 when she was raped and barely escape with her life,
She couldn't scream for help or fight back afraid the man violating her would kill her,
When she finally took him to court because she didn't have "evidence" to convict him he walked free despite the physical wounds and bruises she carried and some permanent,
97% of rapists don't even spend a day in jail! Not even one day!
So let me ask you this....
How aren't you disturbed by that percentage?
She was 17 when it happened,
The man she loved and claimed to love her,
Violated her and she had to pay a very hefty-price
She carried his child for 3 whole months,
It was her little secret.
Until....her boyfriend found the pregnancy test,
Right there she knew it was over,
She knew he'd make her abort the child,
Later finding out her son or daughter had already died prematurely,
Due to her boyfriend pushing her.
Pregnant women are 72% more likely to be victims of abuse.
Sure not all boys are like that but quite a few of them are,
They spend their days chasing girls like their worth nothing.
Why is that?
What is the point?
Cause it's fun?
Exhilorating?
Cause you can?
It shouldn't be for those reasons you're with a girl or going after one,
You should respect her, love her, trust her, protect her, and most of all treat her more than just an object.
She may be the object of your affection, but she's a human being as well!
Not just an object.
This poem is for anyone who's been sexually abuse, assaulted, or raped.
