Same Crush

I grew up in a pretty welcoming time for people who are gay,
But of course not an ideal time there's still those people who say things like,
"Being gay is a choice." "It's just a faze." "It's a sin to like the someone of sex."
I didn't know there was such thing as liking someone of the same sex until I was around 11 years old.
Even then I didn't know much and I knew better than to judge without knowing the facts.
So let's face it everyone hears those little jokes at school where people will say, "That's so gay." in response to something or, "I'm so gay." when their happy,
'Cause the original definition of gay means happy, or cheerful!
I didn't know what it meant to like someone of the same sex until I was, 13 years old!
She was my first girl crush,
She was. Perfect.
But she was at the same time my best friend,
Knowing that I knew better than to ask her out or anything like that or to treat her more than just-a friend,
Of course it eventually passed.
I got my first girlfriend a little before the age of 14,
Again she to was amazing,
Good looking, sweet, loyal, humorous
But it all ended it a blur of tears, confusion, and anger!
She cheated on me and I tried my hardest to look past it,
I have her a second chance but she just through it around like it was nothing.
If you have a crush on someone of the same sex,
Be loud and proud,
There's nothing wrong with having a same crush.
