Double Life

He lived a double life,
In one a hero,
In the other a lover.
He marched proudly to war waiting for the day to come home to his love,
But that day never came.
A call came to her phone,
She froze as she picked it up and heard the words, "He was shot." come through,
She cried for him to come home to her, fore he was her lover.
The day of his funeral rolled by,
His family and her began to fight.
She lost so much that day.
And he lost his life.
