This Is Me

"Happiness is a choice," is what EVERYONE around me says,
But it's not when you have major clinical depressive disorder,
There's times where I don't want to get up or do ANYTHING 'cause of my depression just makes it so dang hard to.
No one listens not even my family when I try to explain that's not it, that easy.
You don't just say "Oh I don't have depression, and I'm happy,"
And it's gone,
I wish it was that easy but it's not that way,
I've been told by almost complete strangers how to feel,
You don't know a damn about me!
You don't know what's going on with me!
You don't know how I think, or feel!
And you surely don't know what's happened to me!
You have no right to tell me how I should, and shouldn't feel.
This is just me.
