This is a long one as an apology of not updating as much. I promise I'll get on that.
(also, thanks so much for 200+ reads!)

"Why is he so nice to us all of a sudden?" Kay questions as we male our way to the lockers. I simply shrug, trying to avoid any topic that includes Simon but Vik won't let it rest.

"No idea," he answers back.

"What do we have net period?" Although I know my timetable by heart, I try and change the topic and gossip about the teacher we dislike most.

"Drama. So lucky that Miss isn't here today. What a bitch." Tobi speaks up as the others nod in approval and I open my locker to get the necessary books.

-------

Finally, we get to class without speaking a work about Simon. Tobi and Kay leave to their assigned classes and the only ones left are Vik and I. I spot some others lined up, leaning onto the wall beside us - Cal's what seams to be girlfriend and another tall, blonde-ish boy that I've passed in the hallways on multiple occasions.

"Cara.." Begins Vik. The way his voice faded at the end indicated that he knew something was up. "Tell me."

"There's nothing to discuss." I try and avoid as much confrontation as I can when out of the corner of my eye I spot him, staring right at me. I turn my head just slightly to get a better view and notice as he quickly switches his attention onto the girl that just pulled his hoodie sleeve. He smiled and pressed a soft kiss onto her forehead which made me want to vomit in disgust. By now, I'm staring and just for a millisecond, he turns to his side and we make slight eye contact before he shuts me out once more.

"Simon." Vik grabs ahold of my attention.

"Bingo," I respond bitterly, trying to tear my eyes from the lovebirds in front.

"Alright, let's go inside and you'll tell me everything." He suggest as he puts a reassuring hand on my shoulder and walks me in.

-------

"So what happened after?" Vik asks.

"After, led me to the car and we just stargazed." I answer, trying my best to keep out the final bit.

"And..?" He tries to get me to continue. "After that?"

"Well..not much." I shrug but feel my cheeks heat up. "We drove home."

Vik stays silent for a moment before he raises an eyebrow. "Did anything happen before that? Between he stargazing and car bit?"

I blush again and smile, letting Vik's imagination do the rest. His mouth forms into an 'o' as his eyes widen.

"You made out?" He quietly squeals and leans in closer like a little girl finding out her best friend just hugged her crush.

"Are you kidding me?" I laugh at him and roll my eyes. "I'm not fifteen."

"Well what else - OH." Realization hits the boy in front of me as he leans back and places a hand over his mouth. I laugh even more and notice as several eyes shift on us. The whole class seems to be talking and we are indifferent. I look around the room and see Simon staring right at us. A sudden boost of confidence in me sets of a trigger as I shout, "What you looking at, Minter?"

He immediately turns around and the class laughs, half of them don't even know the reason.

"I still can't believe you fucked that," Vik whispers, cautious of anyone that can hear him.

"Well, what can I do?" I shrug as we switch the topic once more.

-------

The bell rings as we pack out things and get to the next lesson and Vik and I are the last ones to go.
