Jaylon POV

I sat in front of my father. I tried to keep my posture as if I was calm and collected, but inside I was anxious. Time after time he told me not to fuck anyone and everyone who offers, but I didn't listen. What was wrong with fucking whomever I want? Surely he must do something of the sort, he's a man, he's Apollo for Zeus' sake! There are so many myths about his partners and his love scandals!

How come he gets to have a billion people yet I can't have a few. I calmed my thoughts before I said something that would get me in more trouble. "I understand that a man has needs sometimes. But there are people who take advantage of those times; I just don't want anything bad to happen to you. Yet you keep on ignoring my warnings. I'm not telling you not to have sex, just do it with people you trust. Get a girlfriend or boyfriend; hell I'll even let you have sex with the people in this household as long as they're consenting. Now leave, and know that this is your last warning." He waved his hand in dismissal and I found myself outside his office door.

"Great" I took one step to go to my room but stopped when I felt magic being used and a pile of files suddenly appeared in my arms with a note on the top saying, 'Oh, and I need you to do this for me'. I heaved a sigh and changed my course to my office instead. I had opened my office door and was very confused and annoyed at the fact that Avery wasn't here until I remembered what happened yesterday.

I swear to Zeus, I can feel my lifespan shortening these last few days. So there I sat in my office, finishing paper after paper, signing things, crossing T's and dotting I's, when one of the main reasons for my life shortening came in. "Jaylon!!!!! I'm bored." I looked up at him and gave him a small glare.

"Go play with your little demon Jathos. I have work to do." Seriously hope he leaves. I'm only getting to half of the pile now.

"He's with the human making sure that he's completely healed. Come with me to the city! It's been a while since I last went and I loved looking at the merchants and performers. Please, Jaylon please!" I set my pen down and was about to refuse when my office door banged opened and there stood my father, arms wide and head held high.

"That is a wonderful idea Jathos. I want to see how my city is faring." With a snap of his fingers, we stood outside the temple in casual clothes. My father stood in the middle of us, with me to his right and Jathos to his left. But in addition, Avery was to my right, looking shocked after he had released a tiny shriek; and Ambrosia was to Jathos' left. "Let's go my children!" *sigh* might as well.

We were just walking through the city greeting people, accepting gifts, looking at what the merchants were selling and watching the performers dance, sing, paint or whatever their talent was. We were passing through some merchants when I noticed that Avery had stopped at one and was looking at the necklaces. His gaze constantly landed on a leather necklace with a sun ornament. "How much for that one?"

"15 drachmae my lord.It has two types of leather, the inner one which is cattle leather, strong and extremely durable; the second one is covering the cattle leather and it is the deerskin leather. soft and supple so that it doesn't irritate the skin. The ornament is made of gold crafted in Hephaestus' city. Normally it would be worth around 40 drachmae but consider it an offering." I reached into my pocket and put 15 drachmae on the stand.

"Thank you, my lord." He gave me the necklace and I proceeded to clasp it around Avery's neck. My hands remaining on his neck, as he looked at it while I looked at him.

"Ómorfi mikrí anthrópini" (Beautiful little human) His beautiful dark brown eyes had a glint to them, and those lips have never looked so good. "Th-thank you"

"Lord Jaylon." A traveling merchant lady had stopped next to us, a smile on her face. "Yes?"

She reached into her basket and held out a pair of earrings. They had a long piece of gold followed by a small ruby. "For you and your beloved. Where I come from couples wear matching pieces of jewelry to state partnership. Please accept this as an offering." I took the pair and inspected it closely.

"Efcharistó." (Thank you) She gave me a nod and went on her way. I took one of the earrings and went to put it on Avery only to find that he didn't have his ears pierced. "Stay still lígo anthrópino." (Little human) I took his earlobe in between my thumb and pointer finger and put my healing powers to use as I stabbed his earlobe with the earring and quickly healed it.

"There you go lígo anthrópino. Tóra faíneste kalýtera apó prin." (Now you look better than before.) I put mine on too, but a few seconds later regretted it.

"Oh, my Zeus!!! Amber come look at this! Jaylon, I didn't know that you and Avery had a thing going on! Where did you guys get these??? There so cute. Amber, we need to get something like this." He started touching and inspecting it, which seriously weirded me out due to the fact that he brought his face super close to my ear. "Zeus! That's a nice ruby. And the gold is spectacular! So shiny."

"Dude, personal space." He left my side only to go to Avery's. "They're seriously adorable! But come on, I wanna see more of the city." We all turned to keep on walking, noticing how my father wasn't here. He probably went ahead. We walked past a few dancers that danced around us, an artisan made us two sculptures of men in an intimate embrace, a painter had apparently seen the seen from before and had painted when I had put the necklace on Avery. It was truly beautiful. And that was how we spent the rest of our day. Getting offerings and gifts.

*GRUMBLE* My eyes snapped down to Avery when his stomach released the loudest sound possible. I scanned the area and found a food stall that sold baklava, and Zeus knows I love my baklava. I bought a piece for Avery and then one for myself. "Here. I promise it tastes good." He picked at it for a few seconds then took a big bite out of it.

"Jesus Christ! It doesn't taste good, it tastes amazing. Excuse me, can I have 3 more pieces?"

"That'll be 20 drachmae." Avery had tensed up when the man told him the price and he remembered the fact that he didn't have any money. I rolled my eyes and put the 20 drachmae on the stall before taking the bag full of food and wrapping an arm around Avery's shoulders and steering him down the street. "Don't worry about money, I'll buy anything you want." He nodded then suddenly went super red.

"Are you ok? You don't have allergies do you?!" I was touching his forehead and checking his pulse. "N-no. B-but just a random question. I-Is this a d-date?" My body instantly tensed and I started to recall the day, and sure as heck, it seemed like a date; my mind, surprisingly, didn't mind.

"If you want this to count as a date then sure. But I won't say it is just in case you don't want it to be." My hand grabbed a hold of his and we kept on walking, going back to the temple now.

"I do"
