Avery POV
"Avery" I breathed in and out heavily, looking at the now unconscious man on the floor, before looking up at Damen as he stood next to all of the other guards, his eyes wide and worried.
"Avery, are you ok?" I managed to nod but the adrenaline was leaving my body and even if I wasn't exhausted, the truth of the situation was now really settling into my mind. He thought we were slaves, he was going to "take us back to our master", he was going to kidnap us and take us far away from here. Ambrosia! I looked all around a few times before my eyes fell on an exhausted Ambrosia in one of the guards' arms. I went over to him, thanking God that he still had a pulse as I checked it. "He seems to have passed out. For someone who hasn't used his powers until recently, he did very well." His face was a bit pale and his breathing was just now starting to even out little by little. "Come on, we have to take you guys back to the temple. Apollo has been notified of this, but the lords have not." He put a hand on the middle of my back, a place safe enough, and lead me to the temple with the other guards following us, two of them dragging the unconscious man.
"What will you do to him?" Damen looked at me briefly before sighing and responding.
"I will do nothing to him, but I can't say the same for Apollo, or even for the lords. When we notified him of what happened, Apollo jumped into action telling us to bring you to the temple immediately, he didn't just sound worried, he sounded frantic." If that was Apollo, I wonder what Jaylon would sound like. I kept on walking without being aware of my surroundings until we got to the temple.

Jaylon POV
After the meeting I had with father, Jathos, and a few others, I went to my office and dove right into work, since I've been spending more days with Avery, some of my work has piled up, but it was nothing big, just tedious.
I was working on some trade treaties and needed to research something, so imagine my surprise/anger when I leave my office, make my way across the temple, pass by the front entrance and see my Avery next to Damen, and behind them are the rest of the guards along with a passed out Ambrosia and a man I've never seen before being dragged while passed out.
"Damen! What's going on here?" I noticed how his hand fell away from Avery; I swear to Zeus if he was touching Avery in places that belong to me only, we're gonna have a bigger problem than we already have.
"My Lord, there was a dispute concerning Avery, Ambrosia, and that man. Apollo has been informed of this and he commanded that we bring all of them back at once." I was already next to Avery by the time he had finished speaking.
"Agápi, are you alright?" (Love) I checked him all over to make sure he wasn't hurt and to see the warmth left behind by Damen's hand; good, nowhere near the precious areas. "What happened agápi?" He didn't answer for a few seconds, he just brought his hand up to the one I had on his cheek, and enjoyed the warmth of it.
"I-I was almost taken away from you." His words cut something deep in me, but I could see that it cut deeper for him. Usually, he would be embarrassed by the display of affection, but today he sought after it, having his hand on top of mine, getting closer little by little. I brought him to me and cradled him against me, letting him know that I am here. Damen didn't wait anymore to start explaining.
"We were told by witnesses that the man started talking to them out of nowhere, then he started to shout, saying that he'd take them back to their master, he got a whip out and attacked them. They were able to fight him off using fog and the training Avery has been having." Avery used the training? He knocked out a man twice his weight. My try at getting him a few inches away from me to express my awe was a failure, not even a few centimeters apart and he was whimpering and trying to get back to me. "We should go meet Apollo, he was clear about his instructions."
I nodded and just carried Avery like a koala. This man is never going to see the sunlight ever again. How dare he threaten Avery? Dare to try and take him away from me? I'll make sure he never does such a thing ever again.

Apollo POV
This is bad; if Avery is severely injured, my vision of his future could be wrong, and if Ambrosia has so much as a scratch on him, Jathos will kill the man. I never thought that kind of people came here, considering we have no tolerance for abuse to a slave. In my kingdom, owning a slave is not illegal, but abusing one is. Even if they are your property, they're still under my care.
My door opened and Damen; Jaylon, carrying Avery; a guard, carrying Ambrosia; and two other guards, dragging an unconscious man, entered my office. I quickly went over to Avery and inspected every inch of his being, even using my healing abilities just in case something was wrong. Once I found nothing wrong with him I moved on to Ambrosia and repeated the process, once again finding nothing wrong. Thank Zeus, if either of them had been hurt we'd have a huge problem on our hands.
