Jathos POV / September 6 / Our Gorgeous Baby Jathos

"No, that's stupid"

"What do you mean Lord?" The demon, who was trying very hard to get into business with my father, stopped shuffling through his papers and looked up at me like I was a madman.

"I mean, that it's a stupid idea and my Father will not approve of it"

"Lord, I'm telling you I'm willing to give god Apollo 1,000 slaves that'll be under his service for a small amount of 5 million drachmae. Others would easily ask for 10 million drachmae or more!" Once I heard his voice rising gone was my laid back and uninterested attitude, now rage burned within me. I used a few my genes and let heat fill the room and turned my eyes a striking shade of red.

"And I'M telling YOU. What you're offering we don't want. So you have two choices, either you get the hell out of here now, or I could gladly talk to Hades to arrange a room in Tartarus for your ass." When he didn't make a move due to, what seems to be stupidity, I grabbed his collar and dragged his ass all the way to the outside of the temple, throwing him unto the floor and blazing my eyes even more now.

"Next time I won't be so generous. Don't ever let his ass in here." The guard gave me a simple nod and went back to standing between me and that imbecile.

I was grumbling under my breath the whole way back to my pops office. Thank Zeus no one was in the halls I was taking cause I sure would've made them uncomfortable. Once in front of the door, I quickly knocked and entered in one second, interrupting what looked to be a meeting between Avery, Jaylon and pops, probably just a few things that they were missing.

Considering mine and Ambrosia's wedding was next month everything was set out, but there still wasn't a date for this couples' wedding. I was beginning to think they would wait until next year to announce the date, but I knew that they just hadn't talked about what day they want to remember forever as the most magical day ever. At least that's how I'll remember mine.

"How did the meeting go?" Dad must've caught onto my attitude cause his voice was drenched in sarcasm. I just dragged a random chair to the front of the desk and sat in it with my feet up.

"As great as it could've. Slave traders piss me off; can't we do something about the business? Make it illegal or at least put some boundaries" Whereas I didn't really have Jathos' attention before, I did now.

"You want to make the slave business illegal? Ha, good luck with that. You know as well as I that the slave business is one that constantly and efficiently moves money. I'm not saying I'm for it, I'm just saying there's a lot of players in the game. Plus, even if we did manage to make it illegal, which we would have to talk about with the other gods and goddesses, they would just move to the black market. Boundaries are something more probable, but we would still need to have a council with the big dozen." My mood didn't lighten at all with the words my brother spoke, but he was right, it wasn't just snapping our fingers and having everything be rainbows and sunshine.

"How about at least making illegal here? And in the towns that worship you, dad? We can talk about the rest of Greece later on, but lets at least start where we can." He looked pensive for a few seconds before looking up at the door that had just been knocked.

"We'll talk about this later. Come in" I was about to open my mouth and keep pushing but when I looked back and saw Amber entering the office with a basket, I figured that dad didn't want Ambrosia listening to that conversation. I didn't either; not wanting to give him false hope.

"Sorry to interrupt, I went down to the market and bought some pastries." He opened up the basket and brought out small containers filled with a bunch of pastries I've grown up with.
