Jaylon POV / August 22 / Cute Avery smiling^^^
Today started normally for me. I woke up next to Avery, slipped out of bed, got ready and went to my office to do my work. The air didn't smell different, the people didn't act different, the birds didn't sing on a different tune, the earth didn't stop revolving around the sun. It was a day like any other.
But when time passed and Avery came into my office to clean a bit, I noticed there was a kick in his step, a sway in his hips, a careless and beautiful smile on his face. My hands stopped flipping through files and my eyes couldn't focus on anything but him. I tried thinking about what made him so happy.
Maybe it was the fact that Father was too busy today to be obsessive over the wedding and gave him a break from the planning. Father was getting ridiculous with it. Yesterday he asked me if I wanted the flour used in the cake to come from Europe or from Russia. I really didn't care for half of the things my father was asking, but as long as the wedding was perfect I wouldn't mind answering a few questions.
Now I was walking around the temple looking for my darling to spend some quality time with him. I was looking into many of the rooms where I knew he could be like the kitchen, the room of sights, the hot spring, our room, the library, I even checked to see if he was in my father's office looking at a few wedding things alone, but he wasn't. Before I could start to get worried though, I passed the gardens to get to the 12th bathroom of the temple when I saw him. He was sat down in the middle of a little clearing after the small pond and the tiny wooden bridge. He was looking at everything yet nothing. To me, it just seemed like he was appreciating the life around him, and he looked gorgeous doing so.
"Hey you, whatcha doing?" Our lips made brief contact before I laid down next to him and closed my eyes, listening to the things around me. He laid his head on my torso and laid down the other way.
"I felt tired, so I decided to stop by cause it always seems so pretty and calm. I wasn't wrong about it." We didn't talk after that. He continued enjoying the things around him while I continued enjoying him laying down next to me.
We eventually fell asleep there, probably for an hour or two since when I woke up the sun hadn't gone down yet. The tan I got was pretty good, plus the heat from the sun soaking into my skin felt glorious, I thought my dear would've been sunburnt since he's quite pale, but he actually only had a tan like me, Of course, he looked amazing with it, I couldn't wait to see just how he looked with the tan lines.
"Love, Avery. You have to wake up." I shook him a bit until he opened his pretty eyes. They fluttered a bit before they settled on my face.
"Today's my birthday." I stopped running my fingers through his hair and just looked at him with a confused expression.
"Well...why didn't you TELL me?!!" My excited couldn't be contained as I stood up, grabbed him by the waist and spun him around in the air a few times. "Birthdays are amazing!! The parties are fun, and the cakes taste delicious, and the presents are usually pretty good."
