Avery POV / October 31
I've never been to a wedding as a guest, I've been a waiter at the weddings on the cruise, but those weren't nice and loving times. They usually consisted of snobby people asking for more wine of more food, my boss telling all of us to hurry up, and then we had to clean up the big mess left behind. Needless to say, it wasn't enjoyable. This time though, I loved every second of the wedding.
Watching Jathos walk down the aisle accompanied by Apollo was such a cute sight. He was so excited to reach Ambrosia who was all too willing to wait for Jathos at the altar since he didn't like the spotlight as much as Jathos. I had stood next to him and cried as the whole ceremony was going on.
Jaylon was Jathos best man, so he was across from me, and instead of paying attention to his brother's wedding, the weirdo was staring at me. I'm not gonna lie and say I wasn't staring back at him once in a while, but most of my attention was on the wedding.
Now, a few hours after, we were at the reception. Drunk gods and goddesses were dancing, laughing, telling jokes, and outright almost having sex. I'm pretty sure there were a few of them who had already left with their significant others or a few others in order to have a good time.
Me? I was just sitting on the floor with Jaylon, who had had a few drinks too many and had a dance battle with his dad and brother, you can guess how that finished. He was sweaty, out of breath, and a little bit drunk. He was sat with his back to the wall and one of his legs bent up, while I was sitting between his legs, back to chest, my head falling back on his chest. It was nice feeling him hum along to the songs that were playing and feeling his hands wrapped around my waist. His foot was tapping along with the rhythm and his eyes were closed. He looked very serene and peaceful, almost as if he was sleeping.

Jaylon POV
I was buzzed.
There's no other way to say it. I had a couple of ambrosia shots and some of Dionysus' wine, and then Father HAD to start a dance, which Jathos literally dropped into after he jumped from the raised table he and Ambrosia had for themselves, and I NOT about to lose. As usual, one thing led to another and we all end up tired as fuck and banged up. I twisted my ankle a bit but I'm not gonna tell Avery that; it'd heal overnight anyway, no use in worrying him.
My eyes opened to once again take in the scene of my brother's wedding reception. I've only known him for a few months, but I never thought he'd be one to settle so quickly. Actually, no. Somewhere in my mind, I knew that he was the type of man that would openly and easily give his love and heart.
I was thinking about me. With all that hopping around, I always thought that I'd be much much older before I found a person I was content with. I didn't believe that I would find love, for some reason. It just didn't click in my head. But look at me now. Engaged to the only person I would want to be engaged to. I wouldn't want anyone else sitting on the floor with me right now.
"You ready to go to bed?" His voice pulled me out of whatever bullshit philosophical trance I was in. I could keep up all night with the party but I could see how tired he was and how much he wanted to see the bed and not a bunch of drunk idiots.
"Definitely, I'm seeing angels already. Come on babe; don't blush now. I haven't even started talking dirty yet." Seeing a light red sprinkled across his nose and cheeks was absolutely adorable. I remember one of the first days he had been here. When the maids had to shave him, he, being the cute little innocent boy he was, made a bit of a fuss and I had to come step in. I remember what I did to him, and you know what they say, drunk people just blurt out anything and everything.
