Early morning cuddles and storytelling! Blaine tells Kurt about the dream he had about him last night. And did I mention cuddles? :) Off we go!It was quiet in the loft. Always a good sign. In a medium sized room with a large bed lay two sleeping angels. Their names were Kurt and Blaine Anderson-Hummel. (AN: Married! YAY!) Both the boys were sound asleep, thinking of each other and holding each other. Blaine was usually the first to wake up. This especially comes in handy when he wants to make Kurt breakfast in bed, (AN: Which he does very often) and today was the same deal. He very slowly opened his sleepy eyes and looked up at his husband spooning him and looking very cute. He smiled and easily slipped out of Kurt’s arms, careful not to wake him before he wanted to. He just stared at his other half. How did he get so lucky, anyway? Blaine wanted to explore this question himself so, he started talking to sleeping Kurt.
“God, I love you. I’m so lucky to have you, it’s unreal. You’re just so beautiful, so special. I mean, unlike anyone I’ve ever met special. You inspire me, did you know that? My love for you grows every time I look at your gorgeous eyes. Ah, your eyes… And your hair, and your laugh, and your smile…” Blaine sighed and continued. “My life is so much better now that I have you. You are just… so incredible, Kurt. I mean that. You’re the best thing that ever happened to me and-” He was cut off by Kurt’s tossing and turning until he finally slowly opened up his eyes. “Good morning, my love,” Blaine greeted him. Kurt ran his hands through his untidy hair and smiled.
“Morning, baby,” He answered. He yawned and rubbed his tired eyes. Blaine looked sweetly at him.
“I take it you slept well,” he said rubbing Kurt’s shoulder. He hummed in response and reached out to Blaine for a hug. He happily obliged and took him into his arms.
“I did. And you?” he asked and nuzzled his face into Blaine’s neck.
“I slept good as well,” he answered smiling. “And I had a dream about you last night.” Kurt looked up at him in sleepy surprise. “Yeah, I did. It was you in Central Park but not quite the same place. There weren’t any trees, or benches… or people for that matter. It was just you in an empty grass field. So you were just walking around until you saw your locker, like the one you had in school. You opened it and there was a tiny box. In that box, there was your old Warbler tie. When you put it on, you were suddenly at Dalton.” (AN: Dream logic is a beautiful thing) “Then you turned around to find me on one knee, holding something behind my back,” Blaine said without missing a beat. Kurt then knew what this was. Blaine had dreamt about his proposal to him. He continued to speak. “I showed you what I was hiding and opened it. It was the ring I used to propose to you,” he said, as if Kurt didn’t already know. Blaine went on and on talking Kurt through the whole process like he wasn’t there. But when he got to the million dollar question, (AN: Your favorite part and mine) he got a little help from Kurt. “...My amazing friend, my one true love… will you marry me? And then you said -” Blaine’s words were cut short as Kurt answered for him.
“Yes. I said yes. And I would marry you all over again if I could,” he said, now fully awake. Blaine stared at his husband, looking into his no longer tired eyes.
“Couldn’t have said it better myself,” he said.
“I know,” Kurt replied jokingly.
“Hey!” Blaine exclaimed. “I know you’re amazing, you don’t have to rub it in.” He pouted and folded his arms, obviously just wanting to get a reaction out of Kurt. And boy, did it work. He turned Blaine's head to face his. He could see him try to hide his smile. Kurt pulled him in until their lips collided. They kissed with passion, showing nothing but pure love for eachother. Kurt tangled his fingers in Blaine’s unruly curls and scratched lightly at his scalp, making the other boy shiver with pleasure. He kissed all the way down to the side of his neck, to his collarbone, and to his chest. Finally, he came up to meet his gaze. Blaine was full on smiling now, and Kurt absolutely loved it.
“I love you so much, B,” he said. Blaine put one hand to his face and ran his thumb across Kurt’s jaw line.
“I love you more,” he replied.
“Don’t start this argument with me, mister,” Kurt warned.
“Okay. I’d win anyway.”
“What was that?”
“Nothing, nothing.”
The boys returned to their original positions, Kurt being the big spoon, and Blaine being the little one. They thought of how lucky they were to have met each other, and how different things would be if they hadn’t. That thought didn’t faze them though, because they knew they would find one and other no matter what. They were meant to be together, and that was that. As they continued cuddling, Blaine began to hum. It wasn’t just an absent minded noise though, it sounded… like a song. Kurt recognized the tune immediately. Blaine was humming the first song they sang together, Baby, It’s Cold Outside. After the first verse, Kurt decided to join in, harmonizing with Blaine. They spent the rest of their day laughing, kissing, and unconditionally loving each other. I guess mornings aren’t so bad after all. Not for them at least.
