Chapter 8: 'Get Together' Night

Your POV

'Great'. "Do you want to go?" I asked. " No, I find it pointless" he said.
Time Skip to 5:20 brought to you by buddy.
        "I suppose we should start cleaning up and start returning the toys to my room." "okay". We both started cleaning and he took the toys back to his room. I closed the door and sighed. I heard the door open and turned around to find my sister looking at me with a happy look on her face. "Why are you happy?" I asked curiously. " MATT JUST ASKED ME OUT CAN YOU BELIEVE IT??!!" She said. " okay, good for you. " " And I also heard that Mello has a crush on you too! Now that I think about it, why as Near here?" " Because he is my friend." " Aww, you made your first friend. But I wonder who will win, Mello or Near?" "What do you mean?"i asked."Nothing , anyway I'm going to say yes to Matt!" and with that she left. 'I should probably keep an eye on her but try to not make it suspicious.' I checked my watch my brother gave me and read 5:28. I got out of my room and walked to the room where we were going to watch the movie. I entered and everyone was staring at me. I looked around and found Near hogging an empty spot next to him. He looked at me and motioned me to sit next to him. I walked over and sat. I looked around the room and saw a girl glaring at me. Near seemed to notice this and told me "That's e/n , she was new here before you and your sister." " Good to know". He gave me two finger puppets. 'Near and me'. 'Wait where is my sister? I don't see her'. "Everyone please quiet down , the movie is about to start." said Watari. The movie began and I continued to look around for my sister and Matt. "Are you looking for s/a?" Near whispered to me. I nodded " I saw them both walk out the other door right before you came in." "I'm going to look for her just in case. " "I'll go with you." "Okay". Since we're both in the very back it was easy to sneak out without anyone noticing. We successfully managed to get out and started looking for them but they were nowhere to be found. Looked out the window and they weren't outside either. Near and I quietly walked down the hall and at the very end we peeked behind the wall and saw s/n kissing deeply with Matt, her arms loosely around his neck and his hands on her hips. My eyes widened and so did Nears. I turned around and faced Near " At least now we know , let's go back." I said "okay". We walked back and opened the door without catching anyone's attention. We sat back down in the back. I got my knife out and started messing with it. I still couldn't get my mind off what I just saw. The movie ended "Now let's play some games." said Watari. "YAAAY!" yelled mostly everyone except Near and I. "Any suggestions?" suddenly e/n raised her hand and said " SPIN THE BOTTLE!" People agreed and we all got  in a big circle. I noticed my sister and Matt sitting together. E/n went first and the bottle ended up pointing at Near. E/n blushed and smiled looking away then looked up at Near. He just sat there in his usual strange position staring at her with no emotion while she was leaning close to his lips. I wanted to stop her so badly , but why? Just as she was about to kiss his lips , he quickly turned around to my direction looking down which ended her only to kiss his cheek. After she noticed this she glared at me with hatred in her eyes. "UGH!" she stomped all the way to her spot. Do I feel bad? No.
         Near POV
     
       If I'm ever going to have my first kiss , I want it to be with someone special. She was just about to kiss me until I turned around. I looked up and saw e/n glaring at y/a. After she went back to her seat , I turned around to see y/a looking down smiling slightly. No one else could see her expression right now besides me. Then it was Mello's turn. He took the turn and landed on y/a. Unlike e/n to me , he only kissed her cheek. Y/a did it next and it landed on me. I was staring at her and she awkwardly leaned to me. This time I didn't feel like turning away. I felt her soft warm lips on mine ,but only lasted for three seconds. "Ooooooooooh". She sat back down. I felt something warm on my cheeks and  I was slightly blushing.
            Time Skip after everyone finished their turns. Still Nears POV
      Y/a and I walked to my room. I opened the door for her. We both sat on the floor completing a puzzle together. "Today was surprising" I said in my usual monotone voice. "That was my first kiss" she said quietly. "Mines too, do you regret it?" I asked. " In all honesty , I'm glad that out of all people it was with you." y/a said finally looking up. "I'm also glad". She smiled and so did I. "It's already 10 minutes before curfew, I should go back." "Goodnight y/a" "Y/n, my real name is y/n." "Bye Near" "Nate" she smiled at me "Goodbye, Nate". She awkwardly hugged me and I awkwardly hugged back since I could tell that we both weren't use to physical contact with others. For once in my life, I made a true friend with a special girl named "Y/n".
