Chapter 22: Play Date

Your POV.  *the next day*

I was laying on my bed sleeping but only to be woken up by a knock on the door. I looked at my watch 3:00 a.m. 'Who could it be at this hour?' I thought as I lazily walked up to the door and opened it. But... no one was there. I looked down in the floor and found a note. It read :
I like watching you sleep
My eyes widened as I felt my heart drop. 'Who is this?! Could this be that same person with the knife I saw through the window?!' I heard heavy footsteps echo through the hall coming closer to where I was. I hurriedly closed my door and locked it. 'No way am I going to be able to sleep.'

Near POV

I was currently on the floor building a card castle until heavy footsteps were heard outside along with knocking. What I noticed was that this wasn't on my door, it was across the hall. I looked at the clock which said 3:00 a.m. ' Either this person is stupid, or this person is crazy.' I turned off the lights to not draw attention and slightly opened the door to see who this was. I was correct, this figure was across the hall but then... realization hit me 'Y/N!' I remembered I had a pocket knife. I got the knife and got out of my room with the knife as an obvious threat. The male looking figure had blue jeans , black converse, and a grey hoody. The person turned around but I couldn't see his face because of the hoody and since it was dark. He ran away as fast as he could. I went up to y/n's door quickly and knocked on her door. No answer. I knocked again this time saying "Y/n, it's Near. Please open" she recognized my voice and opened the door. She stared at me and hugged me. I hugged back. She looked around and pulled me in her room. Y/n locked the door and turned around walking to me. She sat on the bed and patted the spot next to her. I sat down and she pulled out a note from her pocket. Y/n gave it to me and I opened it and read it. "Did you find this outside your door?" "Yes" "Did you notice anything familiar?" "No, I closed the door before the person came." "Alright, I just need to tell you that this person is male, and wears jeans, black converse, and a grey hoody. So please be careful." Her eyes widened after I said that. "The person I saw on the window also had a grey hoody." " Please be careful when you are out with b/n, but at the same time, try to find anything suspicious about him." "Okay, I will." I got up to leave but before, I hugged her tightly. "Goodbye y/n" "Bye Near".

          Your POV

    Near left the room but I still couldn't sleep. I stayed up the whole time cautious and eventually becoming paranoid with my mind still on that one note.

    I took a deep breath and opened the door. I walked down the stairs to the cafeteria, got my food , and sat down next to Near. Each two minutes I would silently yawn. I eventually closed my eyes and fell asleep with the head on my hand for support and my hair was covering my face.

      B/n POV

     'Aaaawww she looks so adorable when she's sleeping! I can't wait for our date!' I sat next to her and laid her head on my shoulder. I looked up and saw Near looking down with toys in hand. 'I'll act like him so she can like me during our date!' Minutes passed and she woke up. "You look adorable y/a" i whispered in her ear. Y/a's eyes widened and she looked at me. I quickly kissed her on the lips as she stayed tense. 'WOAH I KISSED HER!! I can't believe it!' Near suddenly got up and walked out with his toys. Y/a stared at Near watching him leave as she tilted her head to the side. I got up and grabbed her hand making her stand up as well. We walked out too and I asked her "Ready for our date?" "Yes". We walked to Roger's office and knocked on it. He let us in and we explained to him what we were doing and he let us go but to get back at 3:00. We agreed and were outside the orphanage. "So where do you think we should go y/n?" "To the park" "Perfect!" I said smiling. As y/a and I were walking I kept asking myself how I ended sleeping outside under a tree. Surprisingly, y/a decided to break the silence "B/n" "Yes y/a?" "How did you end up here in the orphanage?" "Well, I actually don't remember. All I remember is waking up on the street and that's where Watari found me." 'So he doesn't have a clue ,unless he's lying'

     'I can't let y/a know! If she knows, she'll think I'm a freak! Ok play it cool!' "How did you end up here?" I asked. "My parents were murdered but I ended up killing the culprit." 'Woah, yup, she's awesome' "Well I actually don't remember how I ended up here in the first place but it's probably because of..." "What?" 'THINK OF SOMETHING!' I grabbed her shoulders making her face me. I closed my eyes and leaned towards her. Our lips finally made contact. I broke away and she said "I don't know how to deal with this." I smiled at her "It's okay" I kissed her once again and this time she kissed back. But something didn't feel right. It felt like she was forcing herself. We broke the kiss "Can I trust you y/a?" "Yes" "You are the first person who knows this. I have... multiple personality disorder." "Oh okay" "Y-you don't think I'm a freak?" "No, why would I? I'm no one to judge other people." "Thank you!" I hugged her and she hugged back. "Um what time is it? *points at watch*" "10:49" "Okay then! We still got time! Should we go get ice cream?!" "Sure".

Your POV

'Multiple personality disorder. It all seems to fit the puzzle. That explains everything that has been going on. The outfit he is wearing is exactly what Near told me about. But I will need more evidence.' We walked for about 20 minutes and finally came across the ice cream shop. Just as we were about to enter something caught my eye. There was a tall figure hiding. 'BB!' "You can go in b/n , I'll go check something." "Oh okay" I ran over to BB. "What are you doing here?" I asked. "That guy you're hanging out with is bad news." "Why?" "He killed his own parents and ran away from home." 'That must've been the other personality. No wonder he didn't know or remember how he ended up lost.' "Thank you Beyond." "How come your on a date with him and not with Near? Do you suspect him of something? Is that why you're out with him?" "Correct" "Not surprised" I playfully rolled my eyes "I have to go bye BB" I hugged him one last time and so did he. I walked back to where b/n was and already found him eating an ice cream with...(favorite flavor of ice cream). "How did you know I liked that flavor?" "Lucky guess" "Mkay". We ate our ice cream in silence enjoying the delicious ,creamy ,cold treat in front of us. We finished it and he decided to go to a toy store. 'I suppose he wants to be like Near.' I was correct, he ended up buying things like dice, cards, and puzzles. B/n and I were walking back "Today went well don't you think so as well y/n" "I agree" "s-so , you and Near are just friends right?" "Correct, why?" "I was just asking" "Okay, we arrived". We went inside and as he was walking me back to my room I could tell someone was following us. I got to my room and unlocked it, but just as I was about to open it, b/n held my hand making me turn around. I felt lips smash on mine. If I want to make it seem realistic as possible then I have to kiss back. I kissed back and he wrapped his arms around my hips but I didn't do anything. We broke from 10 seconds into the kiss. "Goodbye b/n" "Go- *ahem* Farewell y/n" he said in a monotone voice. B/n was out of sight "You can come out Near"
