Chapter 9: Outside

          Your POV.    *Watari changed his mind about having you stay in your room*
    In the morning

I woke up to a knock on the door. I lazily got up and opened the door. I saw Near standing there. "Watari said that we should go to Rogers office." "Okay, I'll get dressed" he nodded and patiently waited outside the door while I got ready. We were on our way to Roger's office but e/n came running to us and stood in front of near blocking his way. I stopped too and waited. "So Near, I was wondering if you were busy today. And if you weren't , you would like to hang out with me in my room."she said staring right at him. " I'm afraid I can't. I have to do something with y/a." He said turning down her offer. "Alright then I guess I will follow you two." She glared at me." I don't recommend that but who am I to stop you." He then continued walking and so did I. Near and I were right next to each other until she pushed me to the side so she could be in the middle. 'I seriously can't stand her.' We arrived to the office and I knocked on the door since I was in front and e/n was hugging his arm dragging him away from me. "Come in". We went inside.    " We only asked for Near and y/a not for e/n too." Roger said. " Wherever Near goes I go and I don't like the fact that he spends the entire day with someone boring, uninteresting, dumb..." she continued insulting me. "Okay okay I get it!" Roger said interrupting her pathetic , I mean, never ending speech. "Anyway, why did you want us here?" Near asked. "Because I wanted you two to keep a look on s/a and Matt. They went out and I suggest you two pretend like your both on a date to use as an excuse in case you get caught and they ask you." "Understood" I said. " No fair, why her and not someone way more attractive like me!" "Because the fact that I spend more time with her than you and that I didn't let you and will never let you kiss me makes it more believable." Near said sounding a little bit annoyed. " fine" she said looking hurt by his words. She walked out of the room. "I suggest you two get going then." Roger said. "Of course". We left and were walking in silence to the gates. They let us out and went to the park where Matt and my sis were. "So we are going to have to pretend like we are a couple?" I asked trying to break the silence between us. "Yes I suppose". During the entire time I noticed Near was looking around the whole time like it was his first time being in the park. "Have you ever been to a park?" " No, I always stay inside so I've never been to a park or a store." 'I feel as if I should show him around so he could learn something new, besides I did bring money with me just in case.'
Near POV

Since this is my first time at a park it feels really good being able to spend it with y/n. I looked around and saw a hill. 'I wonder what's on the other side?' I turned around and saw y/n in deep thought looking at her sister and Matt. "Near" "Yes?" " I want to take you somewhere after this." "Where?" "It's a secret" "okay". I can't seem to get my mind off her for some reason. After a few minutes she grabbed my hand and began walking once again to the orphanage behind them but hiding at the same time. We successfully made it back but she was heading to Roger's office. We entered "Roger , I would like to take Near somewhere." "Alright, I trust you two but be back before curfew". We walked out again " So you said you've never been to anywhere besides Wammy's right?" "Correct" " Well that's going to change."  'She's doing this for me.' We walked in silence for a few minutes until we stopped at what seemed like a toy store. We went in "Where do you want to go?" she asked "... There" I said pointing to a section with a lot of legos. I walked and she followed behind me. A certain lego set caught my eye 'Too bad I don't have money'. I checked my pockets and sighed. "I will be right back" I said as I went to the restroom.
Your POV
       I will buy him the lego set. I grabbed the box went to the cashier , bought it, and hid it before Near saw. Just in time he came out and we decided to look around some more
Time skip after exciting the store
* on your way to Wammy's *
We were both walking back as the sun was setting. It was silent , but a peaceful silence between us. "Thank you for today" "Your welcome , I just wanted to do something nice for you." We finally arrived back 2 hours before curfew. " Do you want to go to my room?" Near asked "Sure". After going in his room I remembered that I bought him the legos. "Do you remember when Mello broke the head off your robot?" "Yes" "Well I bought this for you." I said handing him the legos it seemed he wanted. His eyes widened and grabbed the box. "I would like for you to build this with me." "Ok". We began building it until we were interrupted by a knock on the door. 'I swear, these people have perfect timing'. He opened the door and I could already tell , he regretted it.
