Chapter 21: I Dont Know My Name

Your POV
I was playing with Near's toys on the floor and I looked at my watch.
1:55 p.m.
"It's going to start in five minutes." I said. "We just have to wait until b/n knocks on my door" Near said. "I agree, he will go to my room first and seeing I'm not in there he will knock on your door to know where I am." "Correct, although it is a 87% probability."he said. Just in time there was a knock on the door. Near got up and opened it revealing the one and only, b/n. "H-hey Near, have you seen y/a?" "Yes" "Where is she?" "Outside" "Oh okay, thanks!" he said happily running down the stairs outside. I got up and asked "Why did you lie?" "Because I noticed he was starting to get on your nerves." "Thank you" I said. He nodded in response. I quickly went to my room and changed clothes. I arrived at the 'party' which was in a room I have never been in. Near, Mello, Matt, e/m, and the others were already there. Except b/n. I looked back at the entrance of the room and saw b/n looking down. He looked up and smiled , seeing me stare at him. "There you are y/a!" he ran and embraced me into a bone crushing hug. 'He's strong!' I weakly hugged back. We let go "Aaaawww look! Y/N HAS A BOYFRIEND!" said e/m b/n blushed at her statement but I just ignored her and sat down on a table by myself. 'If only s/n and Beyond were here' I sighed and played with my knife. Someone sat beside me and I glanced with my head still facing down. E/m. 'What does she want now?' "Remember when your sister was still alive?" 'Great juuuust great' I didn't say anything. She rolled her eyes and said "Well she told me that you sing. Do you mind singing for us." "No" "In memory of s/a?" I finally looked up at her. "She d-doesn't have to do it!" said b/n "Shut it pipsqueak" she said. It seemed the others were listening as well "PLEEEEEAAAAASE!" "Fine, but I need an ukulele". "Ugh, we have one I'll go get it."E/m stood up, brought the ukulele, and yelled "Y/A IS GOING TO SING FOR US SO SHUT UP!" 'I have stage fright' I thought as was getting nervous to sing in front of all these people. I took and deep breath.

Every one stopped talking and stared at me whispering to one another things like 'I bet she doesn't sing that good.' Every one got quiet and I turned to Near. He nodded.

You ask me why I cut my hair and change myself completely.

Near was paying close attention while b/n was blushing even more.
I went from bland and popular to joining the marching band
I looked at Near and slightly smiled to him for the next part
I made the closest friend I'll ever have in my life time.
I'm lost, trying to get found in an ocean of people.
Please don't ask me any questions.
There won't be a valid answer
I'll just say, that I don't know my name

I looked at everyone and inhaled
I now know my name!

Everyone was quiet in shock. Suddenly they started applauding except e/m. She looked mad. I sat went up to her and gave her the instrument but she was still glaring at me. I sat back down and b/n ran over to me. "I didn't kn-know you could sing! You sing beautifully!" he said hugging me. "Thank you" I said not hugging back. He let go and asked "Do you want some cake?!" he smiled. "No thank you" "Greetings y/a." Near said. "Hello Near" I said. " I need to speak with you , alone." I nodded and got up following him outside. We stood outside where no one could hear us. "There is a 57% chance I know who the stalker is, but it's not safe to talk about it here. Do you mind going to my room to discuss it?" "No, in fact I also have a lead." "Perfect, I would like to hear it." "Okay". We walked back to where the others were. I walked over to where Mello, Matt, and b/n were sitting and talking. Mello saw me and complimented me on my voice so did Matt. Meanwhile, b/n was just starring at my mouth and eyes. 'Stop staring at me'. "H-hey y/a?" I turned my head to b/n "Yes?" "Would you want to -um, to go out with me tomorrow?" 'Hmmmm' "I don't see why not." I said getting up to leave along with Near. We walked to his room.

         Near POV

     We went in my room and I locked the door. Y/n and I sat on the bed surrounded by dice and puzzles. "As I said earlier, I have a lead on who this figure might be. But first, I would like to know what you think." I said. "Remember when you felt like you were being watched and so did I?" she asked "Yes" "That suddenly happened when someone new came to the orphanage. Also, the person I saw through the window had a knife and a male figure and that never happened until now, but here is the mystery ..." "Is this the same person?" we said in unison. "Is that why you accepted his offer?" I asked "Correct" "If this is the same person, then it could be dangerous. You need to be careful." "I will" "Also..." I stopped "What?" y/n asked "Don't let him do anything to you, like touch you where he's not suppose to or -" "Do I smell jelly?" she said. "I am not jealous" "sure you aren't" "I. Am. Not"
"Whatever you say" she said. " Just be careful" "I will, but I don't promise that there won't be any kissing because it is a date and it has to seem realistic." 'I really don't like the thought of that. Am I actually jealous?' "Okay, I trust you" I said. "Good. If anything happens *takes out knife, throws it into the air, catches it* I will defend myself."  She got up "Goodbye Near" "Goodbye y/a".
