Chapter 20: Stranger Things

        B/n POV

'I CANT BELIEVE I TALKED TO HER!' I thought as I ran back to my room. I was inside my room for a few minutes ,practicing having a conversation with y/a. I checked the time and saw it was time for breakfast. 'I should escort her!' I opened the door but saw Watari standing there. "Yes Watari? Are my results out yet?!" "Yes they are" he said chuckling. "What are they?" "You are in 8th to become the next L." "Yay!" He left I believe he was heading to the cafeteria. I quickly went to y/a's room and knocked on her door nervously yet excitedly. She opened the door and stood there silent. "Please! Allow me to escort you!" She stood there silent but nodded yes afterwards. Y/a locked her door and we began walking to our destination. "S-so, how have you been?" I said trying to lighten up the situation. "Fine" "That's good to hear. I like your outfit." "Thank you" "Your welcome." We finally got there and I noticed her walking to a table with two other guys. I saw Watari and asked him "Do I have to sit in a specific area?" "Well, we prefer for you to sit with them *points at a certain table*" Right after he said that, the strange albino entered and sat down next to y/a. "Um, well can I sit with them?*points to Nears table* Please?!" "Oh well, alright." "Thanks!" I said happily going to their table pulling up a chair and sat in between a red haired guy with goggles and y/a, with a blond next to the video gamer and the weird looking albino on y/a's left. "What's your name?" the goggle guy said not looking up from his video game "B/n, I'm new!" "Cool I'm Matt, the chocoholic next to me is Mello, the chill girl in front of me is y/a and the sheep looking dude next to her is Near." he said. Then, 'Mello' spoke" Matt is in third, I'm in...*sigh* s-second, Near and y/a are tied in first."  My eyes widened 'FIRST PLACE?! She is so smart!' "Wow, you two are tied in first place?" They both nodded not looking up. 'She's so cool, I should act like Near more often so she could also like me. The whole time I kept staring at her twirling the knife around her fingers. 'Your eyes are so pretty' she looked up at me. What I didn't notice, was that I said my thought out loud. I blushed "S-SORRY!" y/a just looked down at her watch and got up to leave. So did Near "Mind if I go with you two?" I asked. They looked at each other and shrugged. I smiled and got in between them.

Near POV
We were walking back to our rooms , with of course, b/n in between. We were silent until he looked outside the window and yelled "I want to show you something y/a!" as he grabbed her hand her eyes widened and she looked at me , but soon started running outside with b/n since he was basically dragging her along with him. I was left behind and soon started following them. I went outside and saw y/n on a swing with b/n placing a red flower in her hair. I stood behind a tree trying not to interrupt them. 'Why do I feel the need to punch him? No wait, I must not let my emotions take control.' "The flower matches your eye" b/n said smiling. "How come your sister doesn't have a red eye but you do?" "I was born this way." she said quietly looking away. "Well, I THINK YOURE BEAUTIFUL JUST THE WAY YOU ARE! Ehehe" "Thanks, I will go inside now." she said getting off the swing and started walking away."Oh! Of course, whatever you want!" I went inside as well and he went the opposite direction from us to his room. "Why was he acting like that?" she asked. "I believe that's what they call 'flirting'." "Oh okay" I grabbed her hand as we were on our way. We stopped at her door once again " Goodbye Near" "Goodbye Y/a" I said lightly kissing her on the cheek.I noticed what I did and quickly turned around walking back to my room. I closed the door and looked at myself in the mirror. My face was a little bit red. 'Why did I just do that?'

Your POV
I entered my room and looked in the mirror am seeing myself blushing. 'Why do I always get like this when he does this to me or when I do that to him? Do I ... like Near?' I looked at the clock and figured I would just run around since I still had time before the 'party'. I wore my workout clothes (whatever you prefer) and went outside. After a few minutes I noticed I was being watched. I looked up and saw a figure of a person on the 3rd floor. 'Wait, THATS MY FLOOR!' I looked closely and *gasp* the person had a knife and kept walking in the direction that Near was in. I ran inside hoping Near is alright. I ran so fast I don't even remember entering the building or going up the stairs. 'I can't lose him too!' I got to his room and knocked on the door. There was no answer. I tried opening the door. It was locked.  I was about to kick it down until the door opened. "What's wrong?" it was Near. I closed my eyes and tried to catch breath. 'He's alive' I opened my eyes and found him staring at me in question. I looked behind me and all around. "Come in." I nodded and went in. He sat on the bed with his usual position and patted the spot next to him. I sat down not saying anything. "Y/n, you haven't answered my question yet. What's wrong?"  "I was running outside ,but I felt like I was being watched. I looked up and I saw someone in the window looking down at me. When I looked closely, this person had a knife and continued walking to your direction. So I ran as fast as I could." "You didn't check your room did you?" My eyes widened "No". "You're going to have to stay here." "Okay, I can't risk loosing you too." I said the last part barely audible. I was staring down at my watch until I felt two warm arms around me. I hugged back and he whispered in my ear "I can't loose you too." I looked at him, still hugging , and kissed his cheek. 'I understand now.' He smiled and so did I. He doesn't act like this in front of other and neither do I. We only do this with each other and no one knows. Strange things happen everyday.
