First Love [Jung Jaehyun Fanfiction]

~Chapter 12~

"We're here!" Johnny exclaimed as all of us pilled out of the car. I looked around only to find that we were at an amusement park. I squealed in excitement as the other members laughed at my cuteness. I was about to run off to the main entrance when Taeyong said that we had to go to the cafe that was placed next to the park to wait for the other members. I pouted but followed the boys to the cafe anyway. No mater how much I pleaded to wait for the other members in the park instead, they just shook their heads and continued walking.

The bell at the front door rang when we entered signaling the workers that there were new customers. We sat down at a booth near the back that could occupy about eighteen people. I was the last one to sit down so I ended up sitting in the corner. A waiter then came to take our orders. While taking our order, it was quite obvious that he was flirting with me, or at least trying to. To be honest, the waiter was quite cute but if he wasn't rude to Johnny who tried to stop him from flirting, I would have maybe hung out with him when he offered.

In the end, the waiter took our order and left with a sour face. I scooted over closer to Jaehyun who happened to be sitting next to me since I was uncomfortable. A few minutes later, he came back with our drinks as shot each and every one of the boys a dirty look before landing his gaze on me and winked. I looked away and moved closer to Jaehyun as I felt him wrap his arm around my waist. I guess the waiter noticed Jaehyun's arm as his smile turned into a frown and he backed off. He hurriedly finished serving us and walked briskly back to the counter.

After the waiter had gone however, Jaehyun still had his arm around me. I didn't say anything about it as I felt safe and comfortable in his arms. The boys then started talking among themselves as I excluded myself from the conversation. The excitement that I had felt earlier had disappeared because of the waiter. Jaehyun seemed to have noticed my change in mood as he nudged me and made a silly face. I giggled at his silliness and squished his cheeks. He laughed along, knowing that he had cheered  me up.

While talking, the sound of the bell rang throughout the mostly empty cafe which made us all turn to the door. There were six boys standing there who seemed to be looking for someone. When their eyes landed on our table, a smile was evident on the tallest's face as he walked over, the others following after him. When they arrived at our table, I looked at them in confusion but the other boys were welcoming them upon their arrival. I moved in to make space for the boys who had just arrived to sit. Who were they?

My question was immediately answered when Johnny spoke up. "Jess, these are the other members that I told you about. That's Ten, Jisung, Chenle, Renjun, Jeno and Jaemin," Johnny introduced them while pointing at each member. I nodded as I said hi to each of them. "Chenle's Korean isn't that good because he's Chinese. He's improving though," he continued. My eyes widened in surprise as Chenle said hi to me in Chinese. I smiled at him and replied "Ni hao Chenle-ah"

As if immediately, Johnny, Chenle, Renjun and Winwin widened their eyes. "You know Chinese?!" all four of them exclaimed in disbelief. I simply nodded my head. Back home, I took up Chinese as a second language. Hence, I would say that I was quite good at it. How come you've never told me?!" Johnny asked, pretending to be hurt that I didn't tell him. "I've used it around you before, idiot. You just kept saying that I was talking the language of the aliens," I replied as I rolled my eyes. The other members laughed as the two siblings continued to quarrel.

"Since when? For the nine years that I've been training in SM, I've heard Winwin and Renjun speak in Chinese and it sounded nothing like that," he said, not wanting to lose this argument. I reached across the table and smacked that stupid head of his. "That's because the Chinese that I learnt in school is simplified, unlike Renjun, Winwin and Chenle, who speak traditional Chinese because they are actually from China," I replied, rolling my eyes yet again. Before he could reply, Taeyong stopped the banter from going any further as the other boys laughed at our childishness.

I stuck my tongue out at him knowing that I wont the argument as he pouted. For all the years that we were siblings, Johnny had never won a single argument. The same waiter from earlier came to take our order but this time, he didn't even try to make eye contact with me nor Jaehyun. He simply took the six boys' order and went. When he came back to serve the drinks the six boys had ordered, he simply just set them down and left without a word. I looked at Jaehyun with an amused expression as he did the same. Maybe he thought that I was with Jaehyun and had felt guilty for flirting with someone who was already 'taken'.

The sixteen of us talked for a while more before finishing our drinks. Taeyong who said that he would be paying for everything today, stood up and headed to the counter to settle the bill. When he came back, we got our stuff and left the cafe.' I jumped in excitement as we were finally heading to the amusement park. "Amusement park, here I come," I screamed before running towards the main entrance. The boys laughed and one by one, then started to run with me towards the entrance. I could already sense that today would be one of the best days ever.
