~Chapter 23~

"Okay. It's time to tell us the truth."

The whole of NCT had sat both Jaehyun and I down and started interrogating us. Sighing for the umpteenth time today, I glanced towards Jaehyun before looking each member in the eye.

"You guys want the truth, I'll give you the truth. But first, can someone restrict my brother?" I told them, earning me looks of confusion. However, they obliged because they knew if they wanted the the truth, they had to abide to the conditions.

Once they had Johnny pinned against the wall, each member on either side restraining his hands, I continued,"promise me not to over react?" All of them nodded.

I took a deep breath and said,"Jaehyun and I are dating."

I closed my eyes shut, fearing that any of them would oppose to our relationship. When I opened them however, I was met with the faces of shock and...happiness? I was surprised by everyone's expressions, especially Johnny's. He was surprisingly calm in this situation, too calm. I eyed him carefully giving the 'you're-not-gonna-lash-out?' look.

Soon, the room erupted with cheers, congratulating the both of us. The younger ones even came up to hug the both of us calling us their 'second parents'. My eyes widened at the new nickname they had given us and I turned to Jaehyun, who just seemed to smile at the little ones. In the end, I shrugged it off as the babies were probably just joking around

Or so I thought. At first they started calling us eomma and appa. The both of us shrugged it off, thinking that they were just playing around. Progressively into the day, they stuck with that nickname and actually treated us as though we were their birth parents.

"Appa Chenle took my cap" "Eomma where's my shirt?" "Appa can you get me this for ny birthday?" "Eomma I'm hungry" So on and so forth.

The both of us were running around, catering to the children's needs. Is this what parenting feels like? I plopped down on the couch next to my brother and exhaled a long breath I did not know I was holding in. I then lied on a pillow while putting my legs on Johnny's lap. I closed my eyes and heard him chuckle before saying, "Haha who knew you'd have babies even without doing it" with a sly smirk.

I rolled my eyed and kicked him playfully in the stomach.

"Hey parenting isn't easy. Plus, why didn't you go all loco like you usually would if you found out I had a crush on someone?" I asked out of curiosity.

"To be very honest with you, I kinda ship with both of you together. You guys are cute. Plus, I trust that Jaehyun would'nt hurt you," he answered.

I nodded and opened my mouth to say something but he beat me to it. "But," oh god not the dreaded 'but'. I gave him a look which prompted him to continue his unfinished sentence. "But if Jaehyun ever does end up hurting you, that doesn't mean I would just sit by the side and not do anything about it. You're still my sister," he completed his sentence.

I 'awww'ed at his statement and gave him a smirk knowing that he was never this 'nice' while around me. He simply shook his head and stuck out his tounge in return. I laughed at his childish behaviour and decided to ask about his crush.

"So what about that girl you were texting? Na Jieun right? Is she your crush?" I asked in a joking manner while poking his sides.

He visibly blushed and I gasped dramatically, pointing at his cheeks.

"Oh my gosh does my brother have a crushie whushie awwww thats so cuteeee," I teased him while pinching his cheeks.

He pushed my hands away and shyly nodded his head. I asked him to tell me more about the girl and he did. It was either the way he described her was exaggerated or she was actually that stunning in real life. Light brown silky straight hair, brown eyes, pale and smooth skin, thin figure. It almost made me feel bad about my outward appearance. Almost.

Some people may have the looks but sometimes their attitude would be bad. Fearing that she would turn out to have a bad attitude, I asked if I could meet her one day, to which he said yes. I quickly thanked him and gave him a side hug before jumping off the couch and running up to one of the rooms to attend to the two youngests. From the corner of my eye I could see him laughing quietly to himself before I made a turn around the corner and ran up the stairs.

When I entered the room, the two boys froze in their spots with pillows in hand like a deer caught in the headlights. Shaking my head, I told them to put down the pillows as I scanned the room for any mess that they had made. Suddenly, an idea of having a movie marathon popped up in my head. I pitched the idea to them and they agreed while jumping up and down on the bed.

Laughing slightly, I told them to clean up the mess they had made from their mid-day pillow fight and come down to the living room after. The nodded obediently and left them to clean while I ran around the house telling them about the movie marathon. Geez, the more that I think about it, the more I'm sounding and acting like a mom. Whatever, I kind of like it.

It took us about an hour or so to get everything ready. Most of the older members had taken up the seats which leaves the rest of us to sit on the floor. I was sitting next to a very hyper Jaehyun and a very clingy Jisung. I had pre-cooked the popcorn and devided them into four large bowls so that there was plenty of popcorn to go around.

When I turned to look at the television screen, I almost screamed when I was looking at a lady in white that was staring back at all of us. After realising that we were watching a horror movie, I held onto Jisung who was also equally afraid as me. I was just praying that these would be one of those horror-comedic films and that I would'nt get nightmares tonight.
