X - ZELDA

alright children ur all getting this whether u want it or not

Link and Zelda were currently camping. They had been exploring Hyrule, because Zelda wanted to meet everyone and everything. She wanted to see for herself how badly Hyrule was affected by the Calamity. Link leaned back against a tree with his eyes closed, opening them up when he heard Zelda. They were both tired from running around all day. They had just met with Prince Sidon, to talk about Ruta and him being her new pilot.

Link shifted, thinking about Mipha. He wondered if her spirit was still inside Ruta or if she finally achieved peace when he killed Calamity Ganon. Link wondered if any of them achieved peace.

"Zelda, do you think the Champions spirits are still here?" He asked. She looked over at him, surprised. Link rarely spoke around the princess.

"Well.. Probably not. I think I saw them near the tallest spire of Hyrule Castle, then fade away.. The sun was setting, though, so it might have just been a trick of the light. Or maybe I was so tired I thought I saw them." Zelda said, doing something with the Sheikah Slate before putting it on her hip.

"Why do you ask?"

"I dunno, I was just wondering.." They fell silent again, neither saying anything. Link looked over at Zelda when she moved.

"Do you miss them?" She asked, looking over at him.

"I barely remember them, Zelda.."

"I know, but do you ever feel like something is missing?"

Link had to think about it. He did feel like something was missing sometimes. "Yeah.."

"Okay.." She walked over, sitting next to him. Link looked over at Zelda, wondering why she was so close. Zelda pursed her lips, thinking. "Do you remember the time Revali and Urbosa fought over how to set up a tent?"

Link shook his head. Zelda grinned and quickly started to explain it in full detail. Revali thought you were supposed to put the blanket on the sticks, then put it in the ground. Urbosa thought you were supposed to put the sticks in the ground, then put the blanket over it.

Urbosa was right, of course.

Link laughed quietly with Zelda, leaning his head back against the tree.

"Do you.. think the new champions will be like that too?" Link looked over at her question. He had suggested 4 new champions to her to pilot the Divine Beasts. They were all the people that helped him get to the Divine Beasts.

"I'm not sure.. They're all a lot different from the old ones.." Link thought about it for a moment. "Like how Revali was a pompous ass and Tebas not."

Zelda laughed at what he said, leaning against his shoulder. Link didn't care, putting his cheek on her head. They were going to meet with Yunobo next. He was the best, since he was Daruks bloodline descendent. Sidon was also a good choice, being Miphas sibling. Link wasn't sure how Revali and Teba were connected, or how Urbosa and Riju were.

Link closed his eyes, letting the gentle noises of nature lull him to sleep.
