Forgiveness~ Httyd Dagur x reader (Sequel to Betrothed~)

Chapter 1-I missed you!!

*Just before the story starts please make sure to read the first book, Betrothed~!*

3 years had passed since the war with the Berserkers, and Dagur had been taken to jail on Outcast island. You had been able to see him twice in those 3 years. Every day you felt guilty for not going to see him. You were 18 now, so technically you should be allowed to do what you want right? Apparently not according to your father, Stoick. He was a lot more protective over you after the war, but since 3 years had passed he was getting a little more lenient with you, especially because of your skills as a dragon rider had improved almost beyond Hiccup's level. 

You yourself, well, you had matured a lot, and were now a beautiful young viking woman. Your hair had grown a lot longer, reaching down to the bottom of your back and tied in a loose braid. Abscon had grown a lot as well, and was a lot stronger due to all of the training you two had done. 

As you walked through Berk, waving to the townspeople when they greeted you, you realised. You had no idea what you wanted to do with your life now..The past 3 years had gone by in a blur of discovering new dragons and new islands in the Archipelago but..everyone was just kind of doing their own thing now..you sighed, scratching Abscon's scaly head. "Ok Bud, you wanna go for a fly around the island?" You asked him, causing the large dragon to start jumping around in excitement. You laughed, jumping onto his saddle and taking off in a heartbeat. 

As you soared through the clear sky above Berk you sighed peacefully. "Y'know, I wouldn't mind just doing this for the rest of my life Abscon.." Your dragon growled in agreement as you scanned the oceans around Berk, watching the wild life and ships float lazily. Something caught your eye. The twins were up to their usual pranks but had Trader Johann on their dragon as well. "Let's see what they're up to.." You moaned to Abscon as he swooped down to get a better look. "Hey guys, what's going on?" You asked, Johann looked up at you and screamed "Lady (y/n)! Quick! Take me to Master Hiccup at once!" You were very confused but went to let him onto Abscon before Tuffnut shooed you away. "Finders keepers (y/n)!" You gave the twins the 'Don't do this now I swear to the gods I will ruin your lives if I have to' look before they handed Johann over and you all flew back to the island.

"Dad! Hiccup! Look what the twins dragged in.." You called, opening the door to your house. Stoick and Hiccup looked your way, gasping as they saw the physically and mentally exhausted Trader Johann being dragged along by Ruff and Tuff."(y/n), what happened?" Your father asked you "I don't know, ask Johann.."  "Johann! What happened to you?" Stoick asked, walking up quickly. Johann took a few breaths before answering "Dagur!" You froze. "W-what about Dagur..?" You asked calmly. "He's escaped! He's more Berserk and mad for you than ever Lady (y/n)! And from the way he was talking..you are the first on his revenge list Master Hiccup!" You gasped, taking a step back. "w-what do you mean..mad for me?" You asked hesitantly. "I mean, madly in love with you! He's completely insane for you Lady (y/n)!" Johann was able to say before passing out. You took a step backwards before falling down, Abscon just catching you with his tail. 

"So...Dagur could be anywhere by now?" Snotlout asked Hiccup impatiently as your brother pointed to the map displayed in front of everyone. "Well, yes.." "That's great! Just great!" Snotlout moaned, throwing his hands in the air. "Master Hiccup, Lady (y/n)!" Johann walked over "Johann! You're awake! How are you?" You asked him, earning a warm smile. "Much better, thank you for asking! Master Hiccup, I have a strong, sneaking suspicion of where our nefarious foe may be hiding!" 'I mean maybe not as far as a foe but..' you thought to yourself. "great!" "I believe he may be just inside the Archipelago, on the outer most islands hidden in the fog bank!" Johann explained to Hiccup "We've never been out that far..!" Johann continued, "After commandeering my ship, he came into possession of a very important map, that leads to a graveyard of ships hidden in that fog bank!" "Wow, That's the first place I'd go!" Snotlout butted in sarcastically "Master Snotlout if I may be allowed to finish.." "Last time we allowed you to finish, we ended up on Breakneck Bog! So no! No finishing!" "Enough!" Hiccup demanded, stepping in. "Whats so special about the fog bank?" You asked Johann, going to stand next to Hiccup,  "Why would Dagur want to go there?" Hiccup asked afterwards. "Aha, well you see-" "Short version please!" "...it's where I store all my treasures and wares.." Your eyes widened. He'd never been that 'to the point' before. It was a little scary..

"Is there anything else we need to know?" You asked impatiently, "There is one ship that must be avoided at all costs! It's called...th-the Reaper...it's riddled with traps from Stem to Stern! I barely made it out alive the first time I dared venture aboard!" Johann shook as the memory came back to him. You looked at Hiccup worriedly, he gave you a reassuring glance before walking over to Toothless. You mounted Abscon's saddle, raring to go. "Let's go bud, unless any of you can take the time out of your busy schedule to catch a crazed maniac!" Hiccup joked "Hiccup I swear.." You muttered "Point taken!" 

You soared through the air once again, gliding next to Hiccup as he tested whether you were still able to do the V and diamond formation. "500 pounds of flaming muscle coming through!!" Snotlout smirked at you whilst flying ahead. You chuckled, it felt nice to be out here as a group again. You could tell Hiccup was feeling the same. "So uh (y/n)..do you still...?" Hiccup asked you awkwardly "Just say it Hiccup, I'm not gonna kill you or anything!" You laughed at your brother, "Do you still..l-love..Dagur?" He asked hesitantly, Toothless flying a little away from you in case you decided to launch yourself at Hiccup. You looked at the sky and then at Hiccup, your cheeks red like roses. "I don't know! Probably!" You laughed at Hiccup's confused face. "But he was in jail! How did you expect to make it work?!" "I don't know! But I promised him that I'd still love him so I do, I guess!" You spoke calmly back to him. "Wait you promised him? When did that happen?!" "When I took him away from Alvin before he got taken to Jail!" Hiccup went quiet for a moment, trying to remember the time. "Oh! I remember that! But..why?" "Why what?" "Why..him? I mean I guess I always thought you hated him!" "I did! But..ack, I don't know, something changed! I guess I started seeing him differently!" "(Y/n)..You do realize that you're going to be fighting your psycho ex-fiance who is madly in love with you right? He may not make it out alive!" You stiffened in the saddle, looking to Hiccup "We'll just have to make it a capture mission then!"

After losing Abscon, after he and the other dragons flew away due to some MASSIVE EELS, you were searching through one of the ships' cabins, finding a multitude of different swords, axes, weapons and armor. "This is so cool!" You gushed, taking an especially shiny silver sword, your finger gently tracing the patterns and marks in the handle. "This is so beautiful..!" "I know someone much more beautiful than that old thing~" You nearly dropped the sword out of fright, turning around to see.."SNOTLOUT!!" You shouted, angry that you had though he was Dagur for a second. "Aww thanks Babe! I know, this hair makes me even more gorgeous than I already am!" Snotlout flirted before something hit him on the back of the head. He fell over as you gasped, clutching the sword tighter. A Berserker soldier stood before you, smirking as he picked up Snotlout's unconscious body and took a step towards you. "Don't take another step. The next one's mine.." You heard an all too familiar voice come from behind the Berserker. The soldier quickly stepped aside, revealing Dagur. He looked even more rugged than when you last saw him. His hair had been cut short, and there was a huge scar running down the right side of his face. He had several tattoos on his left arm, one was your name. 

He seemed to have been prepared to fight one of the others, because one look at you and he dropped his weapon in shock. "Dagur.." You breathed shakily, un sure of what he would do. He remained quiet for a moment, before you saw that grin. That yandere grin that he had always worn when he looked at you fully. That yandere grin that told you Johann was right. He was still obsessed over you. "(y/n)! You look so beautiful!!" He laughed as he ran over to you and engulfed you in an incredibly strong embrace. "D-Dagur!" You managed, wrapping your arms around him. "I missed you so much! Why haven't you come to see me in the last few years? You only came twice..And I should know! I COUNTED!!" He shouted at you, making you flinch as he cackled. "I...I'm sorry! My father..He didn't want me MMF-" You were cut off by Dagur pressing his lips on your roughly. The Berserker soldier had walked out onto the deck. "Don't worry about that my love! We're here together now! And we can finally get married after I kill your brother!!" 

"....WHAT!?"
