Forgiveness~ Httyd Dagur x reader (Sequel to Betrothed~)

Chapter 6- Ryker Grimborn.

You woke up on a calm, sunny morning to Hiccup and Fishlegs talking loudly outside your hut. You sighed and swung your legs over the side of your bed, dressing yourself before slamming the doors open, making both vikings jump. "What was so important that you had to talk about it right outside my damn hut?" You asked irritably. Hiccup gulped and looked at Fishlegs, "No one's seen Astrid all morning! We're getting kind of worried.." You rolled your eyes and walked towards the stables to collect Abscon, "I'm sure she'll be fine! She's Astrid!"

Little did you know. She was not fine.

You came to this conclusion when you all realized that she had been gone for the entire day and you had no idea where she was. No sign of a terror mail, no sign of Stormfly, nothing! So, obviously, you went searching for her, only to find yourselves in a storm. You headed off South with Hiccup to search for her, ending up finding her almost dead in the stormy ocean. When you and Hiccup landed with her, you flew off Abscon and smashed into her, sobbing hysterically as you hugged her as tight as you could. "(y/n)...too..tight!" She managed to squeak out before you let go, still crying. You took her back to Dragon's edge, where you all found out that Dragon Hunters had captured Stormfly. When you decided to go and rescue her, Astrid ran towards the stairs, subconsciously calling out for her dragon, then popping her head back up when she realized. "You can ride with me!" Hiccup told her as you all went to saddle up your dragons. 

"How many cages were there?" You asked Astrid, searching around the island for anything that could help you catch even a trace of where the Hunters were headed. "Remember the cages on the reaper?" "Yeah?" "Double it.." "Oh Thor.." "OW!! SOMETHING BIT ME!!" Snotlout suddenly screamed, making you all turn to him as he fell over holding his foot. Astrid noticed the green arrow head inserted in his boot and walked briskly over to take a closer look. "Rushed right over to help didn't you?" Snotlout flirted, tempting you to smack his head. Astrid yanked the arrow head out of his boot causing him to scream again. "This is a Dragon Hunter arrow! Stormfly got hit by one of these before she was caught! She's never acted so out of control before!" Fishlegs took the arrow head and licked it, making you scrunch your face up a little. "I'm guessing that it's refined dragon root! Apparently, at high concentrations it can overwhelm a dragon's senses completely! And make it impossible for them to fly!" He explained. Your eyes widened, "That would explain why she started acting out!" You exclaimed "Just one quiver of these arrows could potentially decimate an entire flock of dragons!" You all looked at each other worriedly.

You search took you to the reaper ship, looking for anything that could tell you of where the Hunters may be, maps, coordinates, hidden compartments, all that jazz. Tuffnut then started rambling about ghosts, and Snotlout fell into a deep part of the ship, you all the while were laughing hysterically, which was halted by hearing crashes under deck. You rushed down there to see Hiccup holding up a dragon eye lens. "Guys!" You called to the others who were still trying to help Snotlout out of the hole. 

"Ok Abscon, do your thing." You said calmly, stroking his chin as he lit up his jaws with blue, acidic flames. A light green map lit up the wall of the ship as you smiled brightly. "This doesn't help! I've never seen this map before!" Fishlegs moaned, trying to get a closer look at the wall. "Maybe it's a Hunter port?" You suggested. "It's the closest one to the beach where Stormfly was captured! Odds are, that's where they're headed." "But how exactly are we gonna get Stormfly back with all those arrows?" Astrid asked impatiently. "Someones gotta get shot." You answered immidiately, looking at Fishlegs who backed away slowly. 

Abscon swooped towards the ships, acid spewing from his mouth and covering the ship decks. You laughed to yourself as the Dragon Hunters took the bait and Meatlug pretended to be affected by the dragon root arrows. "Ok Abscon, let's get Astrid down there!" You told him as he flew towards Toothless, his tail curling around Astrid as he circled the ship. Sure enough you saw Fishlegs emerge with Stormfly "Now Abscon!!" You shouted as he launched Astrid towards her dragon. She landed perfectly on the deck and saddles up on Stormfly, getting ready to make a run, or fly, for it. You began flying away whilst still facing the ships, Abscon carefully dodging the arrows before hearing you gasp when you saw Astrid and Fishlegs being captured. "Hiccup?!" You shouted before Abscon was caught in the leg by an arrow. You screamed for your brother again before hitting the cold water, barely managing to stay conscious to see the net surrounding you. Hiccup tried to fly towards you but knew that you'd be able to handle yourself, so he was forced to retreat with Snotlout. 

Your net was pulled aboard and you began coughing up the water that had forced its way into your system, going to pounce up before you felt a firm pair of hands gripping you. "Hey, hey babe its ok! You're safe from those pesky dragon riders now!" You panted from exhaustion as you opened your eyes to see Dagur holding you tightly and grinning down on you. "D-Dagur..? When did...?" You asked before gasping "Where's Abscon?!" You cried, lurching to get up, but Dagur held you firmly. "He's with the other dragons! In a cage! Where he belongs!" He stated firmly, pulling you up and getting an iron grip on your wrist. "Let me go!" You exclaimed, trying to pull your hand out of his grip. He was about to walk towards where the others were being taken but he stopped, "Why should I?" You stared up into his dark green eyes in dis belief, "I mean, this makes it easier doesn't it! There's nothing stopping us from being together now! Your little 'friends' are locked up and that dragon nuisance is too!" You began shaking a little from the intense, insane, loving stare he was giving you before suddenly laughing and pulling you off to see Heather. You were made to stay in a separate cage from the other friends which was close to Dagur's quarters on the ship. You sat down and sighed, closing your eyes for a second before hearing the cage door open. A large man, who you presumed was Ryker, stood there. "So you're the Nightfury rider's sister eh?" He asked calmly. You stood up, preparing to stand your ground if needed. "And my future bride!" You heard Dagur call from behind. "Come with me, you'll be helpful." 

The next morning, after literally about 3 hours of sleep (which you wouldn't have had if Dagur hadn't convinced Ryker to give you), you stood above deck next to Dagur with his hand tightly clasping yours, watching as your friends walked over, having being caught trying to escape. Heather had clearly given Astrid a beating and looked very proud of it. "See, I told you! They NEVER GIVE UP!! ITS SO ANNOYING!!" Dagur raged at Ryker before suggesting that they should throw one over the side, subconsciously pushing you behind him a little (aww he does care), before laughing about how it'll be 'so fun' before Heather pointed out that they should just be put to work like the dragons are. "Dagur..?" You asked him quietly as he pulled you towards your cell, "Yes sweetie?" He asked, instantly turning to face you. "Where...where is Abscon..?" You asked, "Who?" "My dragon Dagur." You stated, staring into his eyes, determined not to punch him in the face. "Oh! I'll show you!" He gushed excitedly, pulling you to a different part of the ship, where you saw Abscon being forced to churn up as much acid as he could muster to put into acid bombs. You tensed up, almost beginning to cry when you saw him look at you pleadingly. You reached out towards him before being pulled away by Dagur. "Abscon!" You exclaimed, making Dagur a little bit yandere. "Why do you need that changewing anymore?! You have me!!" He gripped your forearms tightly "Do you not still love me..? you promised me!!" He shouted as you began to panic. Dagur saw how scared you looked, causing his grip to loosen on you before explosions racked the ship. He ran up to the deck with you and you sighed in relief as Toothless and Hookfang flew past. "No, no not again!" Dagur shouted as he dragged you down to your cell, pushing you in and shutting the door. "I'm not losing you again!!" He shrieked before running out to fight the dragons. You banged on the cage door before hearing screams and a door open from the far side of the cages. A familiar face appeared as you smiled "Abscon!!" You cried as the cage door opened and you shot out, hugging your exhausted dragon. You looked up to see who freed you and smiled wider "Thanks Fishlegs!" You laughed, running out with him and both of your dragons, soaring into the sky and hearing Dagur screaming. You looked back and glared at Ryker, feeling that something terrible would happen in his presence...
