Liz POV
The days fly past pretty quick and trust me when I say, Sean is a pain in the ass to live with. He has no idea of privacy, constantly just barging into my room to borrow a pen or something.
It was Friday already and trust me, I am so anxious for the date.
I mean, what do people even do on dates?
Talk?
I mumbled curses under my breath as I tried to pick out something suitable to wear for tonight with Leo.
I picked out a simple black dress and wore my hair down. I decided to put in more effort into my looks for once since it was a date. Hence, the light makeup. I checked myself out in the mirror. I look, well, good enough for a date.
My phone started vibrating violently in that moment. I glanced at the phone screen, only to see Quinn calling, probably to ask about the date.
"Liz! Are you excited? I'm excited! What are you wearing?!" Her usual excited voice filling my ears.
I laughed at the fact that she seemed way more excited than me.
"I'll send you a pic. I'm well, nervous to be honest."
"Aww babe, you'll be fine! Leo is a great guy! It'll be the best date ever!" Her optimism never failed to make me happy.
"Thanks Quinn. I gotta go soon. I'll tell you all about it!" And with that, we both hanged up the phone. I snapped a quick picture of myself in the mirror and sent it to her.

I glanced at the clock. It was already 7.30. Half an hour to my first date.
You can do it Liz.
I gathered everything I needed for that night before stepping out of my room.
My phone vibrated again.
Quinn: Damn girl!
The text made me smile.

I walked down only to see Grandma wiping the counter.
"Grandma, I'm going to that date now! I'll be coming home late so don't wait up okay?" I said as I kissed her cheek.

As I walked out of the Pizzeria, I saw a couple sitting at the nearby bus stop.  As it was already getting dark, the light from the Lamp post was the only think illuminating their faces. As I walked past the bus stop, walking towards the Restaurant for my date, I heard a familiar voice of Sean and Stacey.
They were laughing loudly and talking, looking like they were having the time it their lives.
I stopped in my tracks, crestfallen. I stared at the scene in front of me, feeling an ache in my heart. I quickly tore my gaze away, telling myself to stop it. I can't fall for him. I can't. It will only end in heartbreak.

I sped walked away.
I reached the restaurant at around 7.50. All the while, trying to figure out my feelings for Sean.

Have I really fallen for the playboy?
Before I could ponder further, I saw Leo's hand wave me over. He was already seated at the table he had reserved for us. He looked very handsome tonight. With his hair styled nicely, he wore a casual outfit that did not make him look under or overdressed. I smiled back at him, making my way over to the table.
He stood up and pulled the seat out for me.
I blushed, feeling shy from his sweet action.
Enough about Sean. Focus on Leo. I thanked him and sat down.

"You look beautiful Liz Summers." He smiled, his eyes twinkling. He sure was charming.
I smiled shyly before saying," you don't look too bad yourself!"
Once we ordered our food, we started talking immediately. Despite my nerves, it was actually quite enjoyable talking to Leo. He was funny as expected, cracking silly jokes and making me giggle.Although Sean's sarcasm cracks me up even more.
Stop.

"You know... you're very different from the rest."he sayed, a smile on his face.
"The rest?" I asked, feeling quite confused.
The rest meaning...?
"Other girls of course!" He laughed.
"Oh."
"I mean like... the other girls, they have no dignity whatsoever... throwing themselves at Sean." His tone was bitter and sounded annoyed. His eyebrows furrowed deeply.
"Dignity?" I felt slightly offended. What the hell was he implying?

"Exactly. Dignity. Something those sluts lack. You, however, didn't fall for that imbecile." His tone became slightly serious and I could sense a hint of anger.

But that didn't faze me. Instead, it kinda angered me, making me see shades of red.
"What the actual fuck? First off, who the hell are you to judge others so quickly? Who the hell are you calling slut?" I felt anger radiate from me. I didn't mind the curious glances from the other customers.

His eyes widened in shock, looking unsure of what to do. He glanced around nervously, not liking the attention he was getting.
Never did I expect Leo to be such a douche.

"Secondly, Sean is not an imbecile. You are. Now if you'll excuse me, I think this date is over. Have a good day Leo." I slammed the money for my food on the table and stood up, getting ready to leave the restaurant.

I stomped out of the restaurant angrily. And in that moment, I realised I didn't know what to do now. I contemplated going back but if I go back too early, grandma might ask and she might be worried. I decided to maybe take the long way home? That would probably be a 30 minute walk, perfect for me to think about what just happened.

As I strolled down the familiar street, instead of feeling embarrassed and dread because of what I did, I felt rather down. While I was walking down this street alone, Sean and Stacey were probably having the time of their lives now. And needless to say, probably already planning their next date. Maybe because of my stupidity of turning down Sean's request, they might be already realising whatever feelings they've had for each other all this time.
I sighed.
Yes... I finally accepted the fact that... well, I have feelings for Sean Henderson. Playboy or not, he was a good guy.
I kicked a pebble, my mind drifting away.
A bright light came into view, catching my attention as I looked up, only to see a ferris wheel, shining with bright lights, just a short distance away. I could faintly hear the music from the carnival playing and children's boisterous laughter.
This must be the carnival Sean was talking about.
Out of curiousity, I walked closer, eager to take a look. I've only been to the annual carnival twice in my life and both was when I was still a child. I couldn't remember much except that it was very fun.
I saw the ticket booth, contemplating if I should buy a ticket or not.
What if you bump into Sean and Stacey?
I cringed at that thought. That would've been awkward.
Peering inside, I saw that it was very crowded and busy, giving me slight hope that I could possibly not even bump into them at all.
I'll be quick. I'll just eat cotton candy and visiting a few attractions and I'll be out in a jiffy.
I sped walk towards the ticket booth.
The middle aged man behind the counter, who had a bored expression on his face, looked up at me.
"How many?" His words drawled out.
"One." I was excited to say the least.
I was about to take out my money from my purse before I felt a hand grip my wrist, stopping me from doing so.
I looked up, only to see Sean Henderson standing beside me.
