"I don't get this at all. What's the point?" Alex groaned.

"The point is; it gives you strength- physically and mentally- and it makes you a million times more positive. Promise, just try it. Don't get disheartened." Jess replied.

"I'm not good at it." He declared simply, and plopped down onto her spare yoga mat.

"Suit yourself, you can just watch and be bored." She shrugged and continued on.

"I'm good with that. I won't be bored." He smirked. Her head rested against the mat as she looked behind her legs to see him.

"You're so terrible."

"But you love me anyways." He shrugged with a content smile

"That I do." She plopped down also, and enjoyed the view. He enjoyed his too, which was instead her. "It's so beautiful out here."

"Not as beautiful as you though." He smiled. She looked over at him, a small blush creeping onto the apples of her cheek. She really was the most gorgeous human he'd ever seen.

"Thanks, Alex." She leaned over and kissed his cheek. "And thanks for doing one minute of couples yoga with me."

"Anytime, but not really." He said and they laughed. There was a comfortable silence, but Jess was mustering up the courage to ask something she'd been wondering since a couple of weeks ago, when Alex had his encounter with Lisa. Finally, she blurted it out. Knowing everything they had been through and how they had fought so hard for each other, she was bound to be able to talk to him about anything.

"What did you say to Lisa?" She asked, and he looked over at her. There was an unreadable look on his face.

"What do you mean?" Confusion laced his words.

"Well, you told me you blackmailed her with her secret, but you didn't specify anything." She shrugged. "It's like you're hiding something from me, and I can't ignore it anymore."

He sighed, "Jess, it isn't something for me to tell."

"So you're in cahoots with Lisa? Is that it?" She asked, afraid of getting hurt again. She didn't know where this sudden, overwhelming feeling had come from but now there was no going back.

"Jess, calm down." He cooed to her. She stared at him with piercing eyes, and her arms wrapped around herself as if it were a guard. "Lisa has a secret, and it's devastating, and it's not my place to tell. She isn't all that bad, but if I loved her I wouldn't be with you, doing couples yoga or whatever it is that I absolutely wouldn't do for anyone else. You have to trust me on this. Lisa is long gone, and what happened is between me and her."

Jess pursed her lips and still kept her arms tightly around herself. The March air was beginning to become warmer, but it still remained mostly cold. Especially with the water near. "I just don't understand how you could protect her like that after what she did to us."

"You won't understand and you probably never will. That's why I'm asking you to trust me." He held his hand out to her, resembling a truce. She looked at it hesitantly, but grabbed his hand anyways. He let out a breath of relief.

"I'm just scared." She sighed.

"I know, and it's okay. I understand, you know I get you. I know you inside out, like the palm of my hand. Just don't ever, for a second, think that I don't love you. I do, more than anything. I fought like hell for you for a reason." He kissed her hand, making her smile.

"Okay, you're right. I'm sorry." She nodded, and let the wall she'd built around herself down once again. Something she was trying hard to remain down. Considering her past, though, it was hard. At least now she was finally happy, and Alex never gave her a real reason not to trust him. He's always come through for her, no matter what.
