FROM THE BEGINNING**** Mark's POV (Trust me ur gonna cringe hard in this chapter)
It was the first Sunday, after our vacation started. I was planning to sleep till noon. Unfortunately, my plan was drained by a roar of siren. I groaned, and then being half asleep I went on to make a cup of coffee for myself. I was a lucky one, having an instant coffee maker in my own room it really helped during my exams, late night studies. Just as I was done with my coffee, I felt a pair of hands covering my eyes. Just by the smell of jasmines from her, I recognized her.
"Guess who?" she said, trying her best to suppress her giggles.
"Hmm, a Phantom Queen?!?" I said bursting out in laughter.
"C'mon, Mark you just ruined everything" she pouted.
"You seriously think, I wouldn't be able to guess the person standing behind me with whom I have spent all my childhood?" Yes, the girl standing in front of me now was my best friend Jeanette. We are like partners in crime, she loves doing adventures and always tag me along with her.
"Okaayyy!!! Should I take that as a compliment? Nevertheless why do you look like a soulless creature?" Eyeing me up and down for whole one minute, she waited for a response even though she knew the answer.
"Mark, Mark, Mark my friend. Why are you so boring? Be crazy. Be stupid. Be silly. Be weird. Be whatever. Because life is too short to be anything but happy." In return to her whatsoever speech, I just rolled my eyes and sat on my couch, enjoying my coffee.
"Whatever" I murmured.
She sighed and then shouted "Get your ass up buddy. We are not going to waste the first Sunday of our vacation like a dead being."
I seriously think sometimes, why am I a friend with this girl. Because if she was not here you would actually be living life like a dead person. Infrequently, my mind really provides good reasons. She was really more than a friend to me.
"You know what I have a date today, with my bed. So, you better not be the third wheel?" I said trying to keep my eyes open.
Jean narrowed her eyes and I knew what was coming, oneofherfamous 'so-called'motivationalrecite, "They say it is from B to D, from birth to death, but what is between B and D? It is 'C' and what is 'C'? IT IS A CHOICE. Life is a matter of choices and it is damn important to have fun, till the time we can." It took me a while just to get through what she said.
"You are psynoxious,"I said
"What!?"
"Psycho+obnoxious"
"You know what? I am a mess, take me as I am or hmm... you don't have any choice," she remarked, pulling me up. Her face was so serious that I couldn't help but laugh.
"Okay! Let's give a shot to your another adventure." I mocked, going for a shower.
"This is not any kind of adventure. Just a simple warm up before we go for any" were her last words before I closed my bathroom door.

After I was back, I noticed Jean. She was wearing a red sundress which hugged all her curves well, her hair tied in a ponytail. She was lying on my bed reading her one and only pass-time favorite 'The fault in our stars'. I quickly changed into grey pants and plain white shirt then rolled on my bed beside her and mumbled "The girl who loves riding bikes, plays in boy's hockey team, never liked girly things, who is a bit crazy and weird still loves or I would say believe in prince charming-true love-thingy"
"You know what, true love is like a ghost, which everyone talks about and few have seen," she said with a wink closing her book.
"So have you seen?" I asked, she looked at me with a smile and answered "I will".
We both were silent for a moment just staring into each other's eyes, which broke out when Jean asked "Are you coming or wanna enquire more about love?"
"Yeah-yeah so where are we going plus with whom?"
"We are going to a beach for surfing. Emilia and Dash will be joining us later, and I have a surprise for you". She said, with a smile of 100 volts. I grinned.
We both went downstairs, after telling my mom that I was going out, and headed back towards the main door. Just before I was about to open the door Jeanette stopped me and said: "Close your eyes, your surprise is out."
"Jeanette we are not five," I muttered. "Just do it." I sighed and closed my eyes.
She counted 3..... 2...... 1
As I came back from darkness to light, I saw BMW K 1300S bike that cast aluminum single swing arm with BMW Motorrad, spring pre-tension with infinite hydraulic adjustment and I was shocked.
"OMG!" was the word that came out.
"Before you ask, my dear bike fan, this is my advance birthday gift and as you are my best friend I allow you to ride this hotty for a day" she finished with a smirk.
"Am I dreaming or what?"
That was enough excuse for her to pinch my right arm.
"Ouch, it hurts." She rolled her eyes.
"Mark we are getting late as it's your lucky day take these keys and head towards 'Gulf Islands National Seashore'".
