Mark's POV

I rubbed my eyes, trying to get the tiredness out of them. I had a sleepless night, not because I have fallen for some perfect girl like people do blaming their sleepless nights on beautiful girls but, because the girls in the next room wouldn't  stop their talk or giggles.
No fingers pointed.

I tried my best to ignore them but Dash kept passing comments on their every talk or mimicked them in a girlish voice. Although I realise that he was trying his best to get friendlier with me, but the stunt he pulled last night right in front of us couldn't get out of my head. I seriously was not even ready to sleep next to him, as there was no  extra vacant room and I would never let him sleep with my sister ALONE! I was left with only one option that was of sharing room with him.

I stared blankly at the pale yellow wall in front of me, trying to recall when I entered the guest room or when I slipped into the bed, which stood at the right side of the room. I turned my gaze to the bed that stood on the other side. It was messed up like mine and showed signs that Dash must be wrestling someone in his sleep. But it was empty now except the covers which half lie on the floor.

My thoughts were abruptly interrupted by two hands which shook me so hard that I almost felt dizzy. I could recognize her by that awful 'morning energy.'

"That's a very good way of saying good morning, Jeanette." I said sarcastically, raising my head to her face which grinned back at me. I continued "Anyway, I have marked the absence of my fellow one-night-roomie and feel that yours missing too. Is there something you need to tell me?"

"Oh..... You mean Dash and Emilia. They got up early, unlike the sophisticated male in this room, who seems to have borrowed sarcasm from my Dad." I didn't mutter a word in response as she kept explaining "They headed for your house to tell your mom that they were heading to his house for some school stuff. And turns out they had enough time to head for a date."

I think for a moment about what school stuff it could be. I mean not to be suspicious or something but 'school stuff' seems such a lame excuse as the summer had just begun. My house was about just three houses away from Jean's but Dash's was about two blocks. I checked the time on the big, antique clock that hung on the opposite wall. My eyes widened.

"6:55 am!! They went for a date this early?" I said started, also wondering how was I able to get up this early too.

"When I said early I meant really, really early. And also it is half date and half jogging. They called it 'joggate'." she said in a giggly voice.

I sighed. They were just out jogging, I told myself. I kinda laughed at myself. Getting up, I stretched out my arms, relaxing my muscles. I ran my left hand through my messed up hair trying to fix them. My clothes from the last night were now all wrinkled too. I noticed Jeanette wore white shorts with a yellow tank top and her wavy hair were a little bit damp from a shower.
