In the corner of my eye I saw Grayson and Aaron exchanged glances to see each other's reactions to what I had bursted out and said. Zach flexed his jaw in embarrassment and looked out the window avoided any type of contact with anyone inside the car. I stared at Lani with anger through the review mirror to get a glimpse of her reaction but her face was blank and she turned pale. You could tell she wanted to think of something to say back but nothing would compare to the stab I just gave her. We rode in silence all the way home, which I didn't mind. It gave me ease and made my head ache go away faster. Once we arrived home the door was open and the lights were on.

I swallowed hard and glanced at Grayson to see if he had noticed, and he did. someone was in my house. We all hesitate to leave the car and when we did we walked back by the curb, scared of who was waiting for us. Unaffected, Lani leaves the drivers side seat and turn to Zach who had also gotten out at the same time. "Thanks for letting me use your car to get home, I'll try and come by the hospital later to tow my car back home since the old fucker broke down." She said dryly. Before Zach could respond Lani was already headed for the door, he nodded awkwardly and headed for the drivers side to head back to the hospital, he rolled down the window suddenly, "ill call you!" He yells with a smile. Lani turns back a fakes a smirk and turns back.

Impatient, Grayson yells to Lani, "Lani wait! They're is someone inside! Stay out here and call the police or som-"
"fuck off boy toy!" Lani snapped without looking back seeing which boy had spoken. She just walked inside not noticing the door flung open. We all look at each other and without talking we somehow agree to do the same thing: go inside. We cautiously make our way towards the front door when out of no where we hear Lani screaming. In that moment we all ran towards the inside leaving our fear at the door, once we entered we run to the living room where the yell took place. And when we looked we saw Lani hugging Reily as if the haven't seen each other in years. I've never rolled my eyes so hard.

"Omg girl you scared me! I wasn't expecting you to be in here!" Lani admits still holding on to Reily.
"I know I'm sorry I just heard about what happened and wanted to see you but you weren't here so I d-decided to wait." Reily replies slurring her words. Drunk, of course. I scoff and stomp my way upstairs to my room I jump face first on my cold bed sheets. Aaron and Grayson followed me in moments after, looking around and admiring my room. When I heard them approach I turned around and sat up immediately, I saw Grayson lay at the end of my bed staring at the ceiling and Aaron over by the window looking at pictures. I wanted to break the silence but Aaron beat me to it as he lifted up a picture off my wall and motion toward me, "is this your mom?" He asked quietly pointing to the women who stood smiling behind me in the picture. I smiled quick and looked down fidgeting with my sheets. "um yeah." I say quick. Aaron nods getting the hint I was uncomfortable talking about it he put the picture down and sat where Grayson lay. I looked at Grayson and knew he was thinking hard about Ethan and what was gonna happen to us. I bite my lip but finally asked, "Gray, what are you thinking about."
He sighed and sat up having his head set in the palm of his hands. "We need a plan, we need to do something before something happens to us. We need some way to protect ourselves or- or get some help."

"Why can't we go to the police?" Aaron asked annoyed. Grayson rolled his eyes at the question, "we have no real evidence a crime is gonna be committed or we're actually gonna be in any danger. We have no proof."
I spoke up, "why don't we tell the police to keep a close eye on Ethan, just so they can be aware he might be up to something."
Grayson and Aaron exchanged a why didn't I think of that kind of look. They agreed and we all headed toward the main room to see if Lani and Reily would take us, though I doubt she'd want anything to do with me. But once we walked in there she was gone she probably left with Reily. shit. We all sat on the couch trying to come up with ways to get to the police station, we didn't want to walk because that was an even higher risk for us. As we brainstormed there was a loud knock at the front door. We all swallowed hard but it was probably just another false alarm. We all got up together and crept towards the door we opened it slow peeping through the crack to get a visual of who it was. It was Lucas, Aaron's friend. He seemed to be really scared and in shock he kept knocking not noticing we had already opened the door a little but Aaron finally opened it to where Lucas can see us. "AARON!" He yelled afraid. "ITS KAI! SHES BEEN SHOT!"
