Whispering Meadows

:{Aphmau's POV}:

~Another cliché walk through the woods~

The woods. I love the woods. And I feel like the woods loves me. Whenever I take a walk through that dirt path road that seemed to be placed just for me, the woods tickles my nerves and insides. Not with branches, but with sound. 

The wind. The rushing waterfall. The animals, the birds singing. It just all makes a wonderful sound I love to hear.

I come here to get away from everything. 

My parents, my neighbors...

Garroth.

Garroth has been my crush for many years.

I know you would be like, 'Why would you want to get away from your crush?'

I'm shy.

You probably already noticed that, because why the hell would a seven year old like me be wandering in the woods all by myself?

Introvert much?

Anyways, it is just so scary and weird to talk to him up close. We aren't even friends. But I am friends with his younger brother Zane, that's the only way I met Garroth.

~Flashback [Zane is 4, Aphmau 5, Garroth 6]~

"Zany! Zany!" 

"Aphy? Where are you?"

"Who's room is dis?" 

Zany walked up to me.

"Ooh! Dat's my older bubbah's Garroth's room! He is older den you and me."

"Can me meet him?"

"Sure!!"

Zany knocks on his door.

"Gar gar! My fwiend wants to meet you!"

Garroth walks out of his room. I peer in and see a bunch of  Monsters Inc. posters.

"Hey! I wuv Monsters Inc. too! Wanna be fwiends?"

"AHH! Girl!! Girls have cooties!!"

Me giggle. "You're funny! Boys are da ones wif cuties! As in dat I mean you cute!!!"

Garroth smiles at me.

"Tanks girl! Now bubbuy!"

"Bubbuy!"

~End of flashback~

That's when a weird feeling came into my stomach that day. I didn't know what it was back then, but then I soon realized I liked Garroth, more than an acquaintance. 

"Tell him..."

What was that? I swear I heard a noise? I looked in front of me and saw that the dirt path ended and saw a meadow. Woah! Is the meadow talking to me?

"Tell him..."

Now this is getting cool! I decided to go inside the meadow and sit down. "Who are you?"

"Tel--"

Oh no! The voice is gone! "Where did you go?" 

Hmm...

Should I tell him?

Aphmau had many dreams many years to come. All she dreamt about were those meadows and the words 'Tell him...' whispering into her ear. She finally decided to tell him at age twelve.

Today is the day. I finally got the guts to tell him.

I traveled along the dirt path, because that is a shortcut. I walked past the meadows and heard this.... 

"Come to the meadows..."

I  obeyed and came into the meadow.

"Yes? What is it? I am about to go tell him."

"Speak what you will say to him..."

"Garroth, remember when I first met you when I was younger? Well, ever since then, I had a crush on you... and I couldn't get up the nerve to tell you until now... I'm sorry I've held it this long, can you forgive me?"

"I forgive you Aph..."

Wait, what? "Y-you are here?"

"Yes. I am the whispering meadow. I wanted to see you."

"How did you find out?! This is crazy!"

"I just knew. Do you think the blushing around me and stuttering and me looking outside my window and seeing you in my yard just looking up at me and then running away?"

Oh, shit. I forgot about that. My blush got deep scarlet red.

He laughed. "It's okay. I was here to tell you... I like you too..."

I couldn't believe this. My lifelong crush liked me? My blush got even deeper so deep I looked like the annoying orange if he was a tomato.

"Um..."

He then came out of the meadows. His golden blonde hair was in his eyes, and he swiftly moved it over to the rest of the amazing smelling hair. His light blue eyes were sparkling with happiness as he stared at me, and then he got closer and closer and he grabbed my hand.

"I want to show you something... it's happening any second, quick follow me!"

He led me far into the meadows and then we sat down.

"Look at the sky."

I looked. A bunch of fireworks lit up the sky reading this:

'Aphmau, I love you. Will you be my girlfriend? -Garroth'

"I- I- I-!!!!"

I screamed so loud and grabbed him and hugged him and screamed, "YES!!"         

He blushed. I blushed. We kissed. We became a thing. 

~A random book magically closes like this was a beautiful story of happiness~
