Pocky Stick Challenge

Are these still a thing? Ah well, here we go (:

I stared at Pika wide eyed, like she just lost her mind. Her eyes showed no hint of amusement. She looked dead serious.

"Do you even have Pocky Sticks?" I asked her, wiping the sweat that was beating down my head.

Pika looked at me like I lost my mind.

"I have so many ships!" She said, getting up and running to her cabinet. "Of course I have Pocky Sticks!! Just in case anything like this happens!" She winked at me and took out a huge bag of them. The bag looked brand new, and she used scissors to cut it open. She then grabbed the biggest stick she could find and handed it to me.

I looked over at Garroth and blushed. His wide baby blue eyes never lost sight of the stick in my hands, and he was as red as a tomato.

"Just do it already!" Someone from the room of people we were in yelled.

"The worst possible dare ever..." I muttered while walking over to Garroth. He looked at me sadly, and I knew I hurt his feelings.

"Sorry Gargar, but we're just friends. This is going to be very awkward."

Garroth nodded and started twiddling his thumbs, anxiously waiting for me to come over.

I was taking my sweet time, and I could tell people were getting annoyed.

I finally got over to Garroth and reluctantly sat down.

I had no idea how to do this.

"How are we supposed to..." I started, but Pika interrupted me saying, "just put one end in your mouth, and Garroth puts the other end in his! Then slowly eat your way to the others lips! And then, you kiss!"

I couldn't help but blush at the way Pika explained that.

"Alright," I said, and put one end in my mouth. I really didn't want to do this, but you can't back out of a Pika dare.

Garroth put the other end in his mouth and closed his eyes. I'd figure I'd do the same, but Pika slapped Garroth, which caused him to spit out the side of his stick. It was covered in fresh saliva, which totally grossed me out.

"Don't close your eyes!" Pika screeched. "That ruins the fun in it!"

"There is no fun in this," I curtly replied, taking the stick out of my mouth.

"Don't be so boring! You never know, I might've set you guys up to be an everlasting couple!"
Yeah right.

We put the sticks back in our mouths and Pika told us to take a bit. We did, and we were a couple inches away from each other. Two more bites would do it.

I didn't want this to be longer than it should, but I also didn't want to kiss him.

I reluctantly took another bite, and so did he. Our lips rubbed against each other the slightest, and Pika fangirled.

His lips were trembling, but they felt warm and soft... kind of relaxing in a way...

I almost slapped myself. He's just a friend, Aphmau. Get your head out of the clouds.

We took a third bite, but we still weren't finished. Now are lips were touching, yet it wasn't really quite a kiss.

"Do it!!" Pika screamed, followed by Laurence, Caden, and Katelyn, the other three in the room.

Now or never, I said, and took a final bite. We kissed, but for some reason I didn't let go. The touch of his lips gave me the shakes, but in a good way. I actually liked it, I admit.

Garroth didn't seem to want to let go, either. We just sat there, ignoring the fangirling, and looked into each others eyes.

I could tell he was in love with me, and I guess I was in love with him and didn't even know it.

I finally ended the kiss and smiled at him.

"That wasn't that bad." I said.

He agreed.
