Garmau One Shots

Surprise Dinner Date

~Third Person~

Aphmau sets the table, all eight seats. The dinner is ready and cooked, a feast that could feed an army. The candles are lit, the evening is perfect, and Aphmau is starving.

She's the only one there.

No one of the seven other people she invited came, nobody at all.

Aphmau is sharing this feast alone.

Just as she is about to finish her dinner and dump the plentiful leftovers in the trash, there is a knock at the door.

"Could it be? A guest? Maybe I put the time wrong on the invite..." the time now says 8:30. The invite says 6:00.

"Nope, not that."

Aphmau peeks out of the window by the door. It's nobody she invited. It's Garroth, her friend Vylad's brother.

Aphmau opens the door.

"Hey Garroth, what brings you here? How come Vylad didn't come over?"

Garroth shrugs. "I dunno. I heard about it, so I decided to drop by, if that's alright." He looks around at the fairly quiet and empty dining room. 

"Did everyone already leave?" He asks.

"Nobody came..." Aphmau sadly replied.

"Oh. I'm sorry. But, I'm here at least. I guess that's something."

Aphmau sighs. "I guess. Take a seat, then. I could go for seconds." 

Garroths sits down and gently folds his napkin on his lap. He looks a bit awkward, being Aphmau's only guest, but he tries to hide it. He is having dinner with his crush, after all. He can't be awkward.

Aphmau sits down and puts the food in the middle again. She helps herself for seconds.

Garroth awkwardly, of course, gets up and gets some food. He goes back to his chair and sits down and quietly starts eating.

"So, how was your day?" Aphmau finally says to kill the tense silence. 

"It was alright." Garroth replied. "All I really did was play Legend of Zelda." He lets out a chuckle, but Aphmau looks at him weirdly. He blushes and slumps down into his seat.

"Legend of Zelda? I never heard of that... cool. I got ready for this dinner the whole entire day. A bummer no one I invited showed up, but at least I got some sort of luck for you to show up."

Garroth smiled. "I am pretty lucky, eh?" Aphmau laughed. "You could say that."

An hour or maybe two passed of nonstop talking. Garroth and Aphmau got along perfectly. It was almost like magic.

After everyone was done eating, Garroth got up to leave, but Aphmau grabbed his hand. 

"Want to watch a movie?" She asked.

Garroth nodded, excited. They walked over to the movies Aphmau had and browsed a couple of minutes.

Garroth pulled a movie out. "What about this?" he asked. He had pulled out "It".

Aphmau shuddered. "That movie is kind of scary."

"It's okay. At least you're not watching it alone."

"Alright, you win." Aphmau said as she grabbed it. While she was grabbing it, she accidentally touched his hands. Both Aphmau and Garroth started blushing. Aphmau smiled and turned away and put the disc in the movie player.

Then, the movie started.

Aphmau got popcorn and blankets and they shared the popcorn together, their hands colliding time to  time. 

A really scary part happened and Aphmau screamed. Garroth put his arm around her to comfort her, then he realized what he did. He quickly took it back but Aphmau grabbed his hand and held it for the rest of the movie.

After the movie was over, Aphmau fell asleep. Garroth decided to get up and explore. He wasn't trying to be nosy, he's just very curious. He came across Aphmau's bedroom and opened the door.

He saw a small book peeking out of her drawer. He knew he shouldn't have looked in it, but the temptation was so tempting... like a worm on a hook, becoming a fish to come closer. He grabbed the book and started reading it. It was normal girl stuff, like periods and bullies, but then he saw a whole entire page... dedicated to...

him?

He blushed at the fact that Aphmau had a crush on him too. Then, the door squeaked. Aphmau was peering in, looking angry. Garroth dropped the book and got up.

"Aphmau! I'm so sorry! I was just curious and..."

"Save it." Aphmau said. "Now please leave."

"Alright..."

As Aphmau was watching him leave, Garroth mumbled "I like you too."

Aphmau grabbed him and turned him around. "What did you just say?"

"I-I like you too?"

Aphmau smiled and invited him back in.
