Bad Mistakes

Sometimes I feel like my whole world is falling apart. Mostly it's because I over react. Today, it's because...

I can't even explain.

I grab my coat and pull my hair back into a ponytail and hop into the front seat of my car. I turn the purple vehicle on and start to drive. I don't know where I'm going, what I'm doing, but I have to get away.

I can't bare too see him like this.

Ugh, I better explain.

My true love is high. On a really bad drug, I'm too scared to talk about. He doesn't know I love him, he only knows I've been with him through hard times. But I'm too scared right now to help him. He's been beating my cat up, punching the wall leavings holes, and getting his fists black and blue. Before you ask, yes I have my cat with me. I think I'm going to take her to the vet.

Once I pull into the vet's entrance, I see a familiar blue and grey van in the parking lot. It's my sister's van, Katelyn. I smile as I see her and run up and hug her. I can feel tears running down my face. "What's wrong, little sis?" I look up at her, my eyes are clouded with sadness, I can barely see. "It's Garroth... it's happening again." Katelyn seemed to choke up a bit. "I can't bare to see you like this Aphmau. He needs to get help." I agree, partially nodding. I feel too weak. "Daisy... he beats her up."

Katelyn's eyes widen and she frantically goes into my car and takes out Daisy's carrier. She gave Daisy to me two years ago. "Oh my god she's dying!" I shriek and take her out of Katelyn's hands and bring her into the vet. "We need assistance, NOW!" I tap my foot, impatient. "My cat is dying over here!"

A vet quickly takes her. I get one final glimpse of her before she takes her into a room I can't see. There's blood on her left cheek, under her muzzle, around her thighs, and on her front paws. She has one eye shut swollen, some fur ripped from a few parts, and the worst part:

One of her ears has been ripped off.

There is blood pouring out of it, and she's groaning in agony. I can't even look. I feel lightheaded, and then my whole world turns into darkness.

...

Have you ever felt so bad, and messed up so horrid, you just wanted to kill yourself?

That's how I feel right now.

My true love is in a coma. She's been in one for 5 months now. Her cat died because of me. And now I'm stuck in rehabilitation because Aaron introduced me to drugs.

...

"Hey Garroth, my man!" I heard Aaron call. I walked over and bro hugged him. "What's up, my dude?" I said. He smiled his kind smile. "I got some cool stuff to help you with your depression. Wanna try some?" My depression has been off the hook lately, I guess this could help.

Whatever it is.

"Sure! What is it?" Aaron took something out of his black bag and handed it to me. It was small, and in a little container. "Just something I picked up. You're supposed to take ten an hour. I'll get you more, but not here. Follow me." I nodded and followed him into a dark alley.

"Be right back," he said and disappeared into the darkness. I don't know how long I waited, but he finally came back and dumped all the pills into my bag. "Here you go, remember. Ten an hour. Take some now." I thanked him and took ten pills and walked away. Once I got to my house I felt drowsy, I decided to take a nap.

But not before setting my alarm for an hour.

...

I was taking a short walk to empty out my thoughts, and get some fresh air. I decided to finally go back to the rehabilitation place and get some sleep. I was walking back but then I heard my phone ring. I guess I could take this call. I took it, but someone hung up right when I answered.

It was Katelyn.

I decided to text her.

Garroth: Katelyn, what's going on?
Katelyn: Nevermind. Forget I called.
Garroth: SERIOUSLY. WHAT'S GOING ON?
Katelyn: *virtual sigh* Just... get to the hospital. QUICK

I threw my phone into my bag and raced over to my car. I quickly got into the car and drove away, with no one seeing me. I was speeding, but I didn't care. I have a bad feeling.

I finally got to the hospital. Katelyn was in the waiting room, crying. "She's dying..." she croaked. I shrieked. A couple people looked at me, glaring, but some looked like they felt bad for me.

A nurse walked over to me. "Are you Garroth Ro'meave?" She asked. I nodded, not knowing what to say and how to say it. "Follow me. She wants to see you." I followed her and went into a dark room. Aphmau was laying there, asleep. The nurse woke her up. She opened her eyes. She was weak. And thin.

Very very thin.

"She's awake from her coma?" I asked. She nodded. "Yes. Been awake for a month now." No one ever told me...

"Can't you save her?" I asked. The nurse darkly shook her head. "She's refusing to eat. We can't save her if she doesn't want to eat. I widened my eyes, shocked. "Can't you force her?" She shook her head. "We tried, she actually punched one of the nurses and sent her to the emergency room." I glanced at Aphmau. I walked over to her. "Why would you do that?" I whispered. "I thought you were dead... I wanted to be with you..."

I widened my eyes. "After all I've done to you... to Daisy..." Aphmau smiled weakly. "I love you Garroth. I could never let you go." I don't know what I was doing, but I kissed her right then and there. She didn't go back, and I felt her grasp slipping away. "Goodbye Garroth..." she said.

"No... NO!"

"I love you..."

Hey everyone, before I go... never take drugs! It's causing people to die, and it's horrible. This story shows you what happens when people take drugs. And never trust shady people giving you them, either. That's twice as worse!
