Waiting

[Aphmau's POV]

My eyes started to water from the heat of the fire coming through my eyes. I was cuddled up next to my boyfriend, Garroth. 

"My first day of my new job starts tomorrow." Garroth said to  break the silence. I managed to fake a smile.

"Great news... tell me: how long will you be working every day?"

"About eight hours." I faked another smile. "Great..." I'll miss him...

He managed to read my mind. "Don't worry, we can still hang out at night. I start work at 10 in the morning and end at 6 in the afternoon. Not that long." I managed to smile, real this time.

"I guess..." I checked the time. "Oh, it's pretty late, you should be heading to bed to go to your new job..." He nodded sadly. "See you tomorrow. 6:30."

"Yeah... 6:30..."

I woke up the next morning. "Good morning babe." I said, as I glanced over to the empty spot on the other side of the bed. "Oh yeah." I mumbled to myself. 

I sighed as I forced myself to get off the comfy bed and go into the kitchen to make some breakfast. I heated up a microwave sandwich, because Garroth usually does the cooking. I'm missing him already. 

I ate the sandwich and took a sip out of some boring old water. Garroth usually makes the breakfast smoothies too...

My meal was extremely dull, and it barely filled my stomach. I glanced at the clock. It was 11 in the morning. 

I grabbed a protein bar and went outside, with pj's on. I didn't feel like getting dressed. I usually got dressed only when Garroth and I were going somewhere. I looked around the neighborhood. Kids were playing outside, and adults were talking. It looked like a neighborhood party.

I didn't want to go over there, even though they invited me to come over. I just calmly shook my head and went back inside to watch some tv.

God this is boring.

I watched tv for a couple irritating minutes and then decided to just sit down and think about how pitiful my life is.

How come I can't do anything fun without Garroth?

I wanted to call him, but he didn't tell me when his break was. 

I grabbed my phone and called one of my friends, Katelyn.

"Hey Aphmau, how are you?"

"Bored."

"Aw, I wish I could come over right now, but Travis and I are on a date."

I managed to smile. "How cute."

"D-don't think a-anything of i-it! He asked me, and I couldn't s-say no!"

"You can, but you like him too much." I smiled again, and managed to laugh. This conversation was great.

"U-um... t-totally breaking u-up right n-now, calling back l-later."

I laughed again. Katelyn and Travis are so cute.

Well that managed to kill off a couple minutes.

Let's see... Kawaii~Chan and Zane are at a cupcake eating contest... Laurence and Cadenza are probably still on their vacation, Nicole and Dante... oh yeah. They're at the hospital. Nicole is in labor. 

I decided not to try anymore. I just decided to crawl into my bed and sleep.

I woke up and looked at the time. 2 o'clock. Ugh! When will this end?!

I just decided to call Garroth. It rang five times, and then his message thing came on.

"Hey, this is Garroth! I'm probably hanging out with my beautiful girlfriend and can't pick up the phone! Call back later! And leave a message if you'd like."

That's defiantly not true. 

The message beeper beeped.

"Hey babe, I really miss you. Call back when you can, I need to know what I can do while you're away. Love you."

I ended the message at that.

I decided to finally get dressed. I got into some black pants, a blue feathery tank top, and a flower crown.

I sighed. I just decided to go outside and ride my bike.

I rode for about twenty minutes, and it's almost four. I'm almost done with this horrible day.

I heard a huge crowd screaming. I saw the cupcake eating contest. Kawaii~Chan with thirty cupcakes eaten, some random person with twenty eight, and Zane with... sixty two?!

I started to cheer on Zane, and so did everyone else. It ended with Zane eating eighty nine, Kawaii~Chan sixty four, and that random person with thirty six.

"ZANE! ZANE! ZANE!" Everyone cheered. Zane grabbed Kawaii~Chan's hand and they held it up in the air.

Zane got the golden cupcake trophy, Kawaii~Chan silver, and that random dude a bronze one. Zane and Kawaii~Chan kissed their victory kiss, since they are boyfriend and girlfriend.

That was literally the best thing I've ever watched.

I went over to Zane's house for a while, followed by Kawaii~Chan, and looked at the time. 5:45!!!!

"I gotta go guys, congrats again!" Zane and Kawaii~Chan waved their goodbyes, and I made my way back to my house and waited for Garroth to come home.

Garroth finally came, and I jumped into his arms and started lathering him with kisses. He smiled and blushed.

"I MISSED YOU SO MUCH!" I screamed. He smiled. "Same, babe. I promise, next time you call me at work, I'll pick up."

I saddened knowing he had to go tomorrow, but then I realized I had so many friends to hang with. "I'll be fine I think." I smiled brightly.

"Good." He lathered me in kisses now, and we started our way to our bed to cuddle the day away.
