We all stepped outside behind Thad, looking around and wondering where to go. Following Thad was probably a really dumb idea, but somehow we still decided to follow him anyway. Thad walked forward a little bit before turning around.
"Are you guys sure we should do this?" Thad asked as I ran into him accidentally, knocking myself a little off-balance.
"Go, Thad!" Alex yelled, gesturing towards the trail. Thad turned around and kept walking, me hot on his heels, trying to get around him. He walked a few more feet before turning around again, this time I ran my face into his chest. I rubbed my nose after I'd heard a loud crack and looked up at him.
"I don't know if this is a good idea..." He whimpered, looking at Alex with puppy eyes.
"Come on Thad!" Sunny growled, shoving him the other way. He walked a few more feet, stopping again, and this time I tripped over his foot and face planted on the hard ground.
"God dammit, Thad!" I groaned, giving up and laying there. I could feel Thad staring down at me innocently, and then probably looking around with that who-can-I-blame look. I felt Thad pick me up and dust me off, and I glared at him angrily.
"What?!" He cried, shrugging like he hadn't done anything wrong.
"Screw you!" I yelled, walking forward and leading the way myself. He hung behind, giving me a sassy look.
"YEAH?!" He yelled as the other two walked by him. "You'd like to, lady!" He shouted, following behind.
We'd been walking for half an hour when I heard something rustle in the bushes nearby. I looked around, thinking Thad was pranking us, but Thad was standing beside me, silently looking around like a frightened animal. He shuddered, and I patted him on the back for comfort. The bush rustled again, and this time everyone heard it. I looked towards the shrub, Thad crouched behind me, whimpering like a little baby.
"Don't get too close, she might kill you." Sunny cracked, Alex fist pounding her for her remark. I felt Thad peer around my hip at the bushes, clinging onto my leg. That's when an adorable, fluffy, grey and brown rabbit jumped out of the bushes. Thad pulled me backwards and I fell on him, and he began screaming, an annoying, girly scream. It happened to be even more girlier than my own. I covered my ears as Thad ran off in the direction we had just came from. Alex was literally rolling on the ground, crying and emitting tiny squeaks, while Sunny covered her mouth trying to figure out what the hell just happened. I got up and shook my head, helping Alex up and peering around the corner to see where Thad had gone.
"Thad! Get your fat ass back here!" I shouted, looking back at the bushes to see the little bunny looking up at me. It then stood up on its hind feet and put its feet in the air, as if it wanted a hug.
"Aww!" Alex and Sunny both laughed at the same time. They both looked at each other and smiled as I approached the bunny slowly and silently. When I was a few inches away, it hopped towards me, sniffed me, and then jumped up into my lap. I gently cradled it in my arms, and flipped it around to see what gender it was.
"Who's a cute little boy?" I giggled, the bunny licking my cheek and emitting little grunts, as if to say Me! Me! I am!
"If Thad doesn't let you keep that... He's officially insane." Sunny said as I heard heavy breathing from around the corner. I stood up with the bunny in my arms, looking over my shoulder as Thad came around the corner.
"What was that thing anyway?" Thad sighed, gasping for air. I turned around, and he jumped back, falling on the dirt trail. "GET THAT THING AWAY FROM ME!!!" He screamed, literally screamed. The bunny shoved its head in my armpit, hiding from Thad's oh-so manly voice.
