Episode 5: Shower

It wouldn't have happened if Thad had kept his stupid mouth shut. But now the whole football team, and then some, wanted to throw us a huge baby shower. Thad and I hadn't been together three months and he was already embarrassing me in public. I just ignored it though, because he meant so much to me and I wasn't letting petty things such as that get to me. I woke up in the familiar water bed, next to him for once. Usually by that time he was awake and had breakfast underway. I turned around to say something, when I realized it wasn't as late as I'd first thought. It was only 7am, but there was no way I was going back to sleep. I kissed Thad on the forehead and carefully got out of bed, going into Sunny's room to see if she'd like to watch some CAN with me.

"Sunny?" I whispered as I stood in her doorway. I heard her yawn and shift in the bed.

"What?" She asked, sitting up. Alex was occupying a little corner of the bed, sleeping in a little ball and snoring away.

"Want to come watch some TV with me?"

"Sure. What time is it?"

"7-ish. You can make waffles if you want." She got out of bed and pulled some shorts on, joining me in the hallway as I lead her down to the main room. She went to make us some waffles while I turned the TV on to the CAN channel.

"BMS football star, Thad Castle, announced his girlfriend Alice is pregnant, can you imagine that?" Said one host.

"I know, the two are so young, and they haven't even been dating long to have a baby!" Said the other.

"Castle tells reporters, quote, 'I hope it's a boy, because if it is, I have a really badass name for it.' unquote."

"Castle also has told us that everyone is welcome to the baby shower this Saturday at the common hall." The two continued talking into a blur of words I couldn't understand when Sunny came in with the waffles.

"They sayin' anything interesting?" She asked, handing me a plate.

"Thanks," I uttered. "just talking about the baby." She nodded as Kayla came into the room.

"Heard the TV out here, whats up?" She asked, sitting down beside us and taking a waffle from my plate.

"Watching CAN, they're talking about the baby." I explained, biting into my waffle. I heard Thad walk by the doorway, go into the bathroom, and take a leak with the door open. Again. But it was his house, so nobody had complained. Then, as if he was in a trance, he went straight back to bed when he was done. Harmon rushed into the room to see us not long after.

"Guys, you may want to come see this..." Harmon beckoned us over, and so the four of us all snuck over to my bedroom door, where Thad was asleep, his arms wrapped around... Wait, who? I listened in to see what was going on.

"Baby, you're so cuddly this morning, daddy likey..." Thad uttered, half asleep, bringing the person closer. I saw Sunny cover her mouth, trying not to laugh out loud. Thad still had his eyes closed, not realizing who was actually curled up against him. The other body rolled around to face him, feeling Thad's arms seductively.

"I never realized you were so muscly, Ice." Sammy said, his eyes closed too. I almost lost it, but Kayla clamped her hand over my mouth to keep me from making any noise.

"Ice...?" Thad asked, making a confused face. It was mere seconds later when Thad opened his eyes and screamed like a little girl, realizing it wasn't me in bed beside him... It was Sammy. Sammy opened his eyes too, screaming as well, only his sounded more masculine. Sammy fell out of the bed at one point, pushing through us to get away from Thad. All four of us broke out into laughter, leaving Thad there to be confused as hell and give us all dirty looks.
