I rushed into the bathroom and threw up what felt like everything inside of my body. I didn't even drink the night before but I was as sick as a dog. Sunny heard me run past her room, being a light sleeper, and she came in to see how I was doing. She rubbed my back as I wiped my mouth, and she knelt down beside me.

"Ice," She whispered. "are you alright?" I flushed the toilet and went to the sink, glaring at myself in the mirror. I looked like a homeless, exhausted, sick young girl. I saw Sunny step up behind me; she looked so different without makeup on. Her hair was very disheveled and her white t-shirt was too big for her. She knew I had been sober for about a week, about the same amount of time I'd been sick every morning.

"Alice, I just thought of something..." She confessed as she put her arm around me, watching me brush my teeth.

"What?" I uttered back, hearing someone get out of bed.

"What if you're... Pregnant?" She asked. I choked on the toothpaste in my mouth. I spit it out and rinsed my mouth with water. Thad came in with dark circles under his eyes, as this was the fifth time that week that I'd woken everyone up at 3am. He hugged me as I washed my toothbrush off and replaced it in its spot.

"What's wrong with you? Seriously." He didn't mean to sound like a douche, he was just concerned for me. I sighed and looked at Sunny, and she nodded at me. I felt a warm tear slide down my cheek as I looked back at Thad, who now looked more confused than ever.

"Thad," I sobbed. "I think I'm pregnant." Thad stared at me plainly for a few more seconds before falling back onto the hardwood floor. Sunny and I both got on our knees to make sure he was alright, when everyone else came upstairs. Sammy, Harmon, Alex, and Mikayla all rushed over to see what had happened.

"What's going on?!" Alex exclaimed as he knelt down by Thad's face. Thad opened his eyes and looked at everyone staring down at him, most of us half naked and looking terrible and sleepless.

"I... I had a dream," Thad began. "that you told me you were pregnant." Everyone leaned in to hear my response.

"I did." I replied. Thad started crying even more than I was as he sat up. He grew panicked and began hyperventilating.

"Oh man!" He bawled, "I can't believe this!" He got up and ran to the bar, crying loudly.

"The sad part is, I think the baby will be more mature than him." Mikayla said with a small laugh.

Later that morning, I woke up alone in the waterbed, looking around at my surroundings. A messy room, Thad posters, the wide-open door. I got up and pulled on some jeans that I'd worn recently, but it wouldn't matter. I went out to the bar, where Thad had been for six hours, and saw him quietly eating a bowl of lucky charms. I sat down beside him and he didn't say a word to me.

"Thad." I sighed, "What's going on?" I asked as I reached for the bottle of whiskey between us. He grabbed my arm and wouldn't let go.

"You're not drinking while you're pregnant. You'll kill it." He said sternly, letting go of my arm and displacing the whiskey.

"Sorry," I sassed, getting myself some toast.

"I didn't think this would happen." He admitted, actually sounding like he knew what he was talking about.

"Neither did I, Thad. Neither did I." I commented honestly as I ate my toast. I felt him look over at me, and when I turned I saw him looking at my stomach. It didn't look any different from the outside yet. Thad put his ear up to my stomach.

"Yep, its in there."

"Thad! It's probably barely even growing yet!" I yelled as Mikayla came in with a cigarette.
