Episode 10: Baby makes three

I opened my eyes to Saturday morning, finding Thad staring lovingly into my eyes. It scared me. He smiled at me, glad I was still alive and well after the accident two days ago. I kissed him happily, sitting up to put my pants on. I knew for a fact that Thad was about to beg me to bone him at any moment. I got my pants on and went out to the bar to sit down when he came over, sure enough, asking me to help him out.

"Alice."

"What?"

"Can we bang now?" You can't tell me I didn't predict it.

"In a bit, let me get something to eat first." I got some toast and was slowly munching away at it as I skimmed the papers, all talking about the baby. My best friend Roxxy came over to see me.

"Are you excited for the baby?"

"A little nervous, but yeah."

"If you need any help, don't forget I got my medical degree."

"Okay."

"Are you guys going to the hospital?"

"We don't have a vehicle, Sunny and Alex have my car and I royally screwed up Thad's truck."

"Just yell at me, I'll be around, then." She reminded as she walked off. I finished my crust and followed Thad into the bedroom, aiding him in his desperate measure to get his rocks off.

"God, it feels like it's been so long since we boned last!" He exclaimed as he pulled my pants off. Just after we'd begun, I had a strange feeling. I shook it off and we continued, but I kept getting them, like dull cramps in my stomach. That's when Thad started freaking out at me and I didn't know why.

"What the hell!?" He screamed as he backed away. I sat up and looked at him.

"What?"

"Why'd you piss on me?!" He yelled as he found a towel to wipe himself off with. I started freaking out as he ran to the bathroom to clean up.

"ROXXY!!!" I screamed as I heard people running my way. Roxxy and Sammy had both run into the room to see the mess I made on the bed and floor.

"You pissed the bed?" Sammy asked, creeped out.

"No, you moron, her water broke!" Roxxy slapped him as she helped me up. "Go get lots of towels and some warm water, and... gloves!" She ordered as she helped me out to the bar. Thad came out and freaked out that I was sitting on the counter.

"Thad, shut the hell up!" I yelled as the pains got worse, feeling like a repeated stab in the stomach.

"Why should I?!" He argued back.

"The baby's coming!" I screamed at him as he covered his mouth. Sammy ran in with everything Roxxy requested as I laid back. They put towels under me while Roxxy pulled her gloves on as Harmon heard the commotion and came over. Thad was freaking out and I was trying to to cry, when Harmon pulled out a bag of joints.

"I can solve it all." He promised as he pulled a few out. Thad saw him and got angry, taking the ones that weren't for himself.

"No! You're not giving her that while he's still in there!"

"Thad! Can't you see she's in a lot of pain right now?!" Sammy fought back. Harmon took the one he had in his mouth and handed it to me. I took it without hesitation and inhaled it, little by little. After awhile, I felt no pain and was laughing my ass off instead.

"Just push!" Roxxy encouraged as I tightly gripped Thad's hand.

"Come on Alice, you can do this, I know you can!" Thad uttered to me as I laid my head back lazily. After a couple of hours, the struggle was over and I'd given birth to a beautiful baby boy.

"Congratulations, guys! It's a boy!" Sammy announced as he handed me the baby. Thad smiled as he watched him open his little eyes. They were bright blue eyes; he opened them and glanced over at Thad, beginning to whine a little as he balled up his little fist. He opened his hand up again and felt Thad's nose, laughing as did Thad, and Thad opened his arms.

"Can I hold him?" He asked kindly as I handed him over. I'd never seen Thad look so happy in his life. Roxxy cleaned everything up, snipped the umbilical cord, and helped me into bed. Thad sat down beside me, refusing to let the baby go, as Sammy took a picture to send to the newspapers and the media.

"Everybody welcome Axel Kevin Castle into the world!" I announced weakly as I gestured to have the baby back. Everyone applauded as Thad sighed and handed him back.

"Guys, bad news, we're out of milk." Harmon sighed as he entered the room. Everyone looked at me awkwardly as the baby cried, growing hungrier every minute. Thad shooed everyone out and locked the bedroom door as I pulled my shirt down and allowed Axe to nurse.

"Isn't he just the cutest?!" Thad sighed as he sat down beside me again.

"Do you want to bring the crib in here so you can watch him, then...?" I offered as the baby fell asleep. Thad nodded and went to get the crib as I carefully patted the baby's back. He came in and placed the crib at the end of the bed, then asking for the baby back. He laid him down gently in the crib, face up, watching joyfully as his new son slept peacefully.
