Harmon burst through our bedroom door like he didn't even know knocking was invented. Of course it was the night we slept together naked, and he got a full view of everything. I pulled the covers up to cover us, but it was too late anyway.
"Bro, what's your problem bro?" Thad whined as the baby protested loudly.
"She's gone!" He exclaimed, "Mikayla's gone!" I got my underwear and Thad's shirt and pulled them on, getting the baby and looking at him with a rather baffled look.
"So, you just woke up and she wasn't there?" Harmon nodded as I reasoned with him. It was rather strange, but not for her. She'd pulled that stunt before, many many times. I shook it off, I couldn't let petty things such as that affect me, especially with my wedding right around the corner. Sunny had herself locked in her room, putting the final touches on my wedding dress for the big day. Thad was having his bachelor party tonight and he had no reason to worry either. I told him this was the one night he was allowed to bang as many "Sloots" as he wanted, but after then, he was strictly with me. He joined me in the kitchen, where I watched Sammy hustle around to cook breakfast, and I looked over at him. He was feeding the baby, to my surprise, because a few days ago he had no idea what he was doing. I was more than glad he was learning quickly how to take care of our son.
"He threw up everywhere this morning, it was so disgusting." Thad recounted as the baby refused the bottle, pushing it away with one chubby little hand. We both turned around when we heard a firm knock at the door, and heard the door swing open with a menacing creaaaaaaaaak. I saw a tall man at the door, my stomach told me I didn't know him, but a piece of my heart told me I did. Just when the butler was about to kick him off the property, I stood up from my spot and protested loudly. I may have been two hundred feet away, but they heard me loud and clear.
"Wait!" I shouted across the humongous foyer. Both the man and the butler snapped their heads around to see half-naked me running over to the door to allow the stranger inside. "Let him in."
"Of course, Madam Castle..." The butler accepted, stepping out of the way and allowing the man to step inside. The man and I stood by the door, staring at each other for quite some time. I knew I recognized this guy, and felt that he knew me, too. I opened my mouth to ask him for his name.
"Parker? Dennis Parker?" I asked quietly, hoping Thad wouldn't hear. His head perked up as the corners of his mouth lifted excitedly. I leapt forward and hugged my old friend, not having seen him since I'd been to PAX East in my teen years.
"Ali, it's been years, man." He exclaimed as he followed me to the kitchen. He went to walk into the kitchen when he stopped so fast that he'd tumbled backwards and hit the hard, cold floor. As I looked up, Thad was holding his hand out. I automatically assumed he'd run into Thad's hand without realizing it.
"Ice, who the hell is this, and why is he in my house?" He asked with a menacing look on his face. I crossed my arms as I gave him an even more intimidating look. He stirred uncomfortably but continued to stand tall, his thick arms crossed as Parker picked himself up.
"I'm Dennis Parker, Ali and I used to hang out and play video games together." He explained as he brushed himself off. I looked over to see he was wearing an old navy Aeropostale hoodie, black skinny jeans, and tattered black Chucks. He hadn't changed much in style since I'd last seen him, but he looked much different. He was very attractive, and oddly it appeared as if he'd dyed his hair. Thad took the baby back from Sammy and wandered into the other room to burp him.
"It's warm in here, mind if I take my sweater off?" I shook my head as he pulled his sweater off, revealing a few tattoos on his arms here and there as he tossed it onto the chair next to me. I looked over at Thad in the living room, then back at Parker.
